i seem to recall a 4-4 with loads of penalties, maybe a different game.

No you're definitely right, I was there that day, probably the most entertaining match ever!

We scored probably our fastest goal ever though Delap, who was also sent off about 20 minutes later.

They had a penalty, we had three. Burley scored the first two and missed the last one right near the end which would have given him a hat trick (Windass already had one for them) and won us the match 5-4.

Think it was played on Easter Monday iirc.

Anyway I digress...Strupar did score our other goal that day!

Says something about our performance as a club since the departure of Steve as number 2 to Jim Smith that for fans of a certain age, their top 20 would probably struggle to get out of this division.

This should reveal my age:

Mart Poom

Inigo Idiakez

Marco Reich

Kris Commons

Will Hughes

Chris Martin

Darren Moore

Paul Peschisolido

Georgi Kinkladze

Alberto Bueno

Grzegorz Rasiak

Tommy Smith

Richard Keogh

Jake Buxton

Shaun Barker

Craig Bryson 1.0

George Thorne

You know what? I can't even get to 20 names.

Poom & Butland & Carson

Keogh & West

Thorne & Oakley & Idiakez & Huddlestone (First time round) & Hughes & Hendrick & Bryson

Commons & Ince & Bueno & Ibe & Barnes

Martin & Hulse & Rasiak

only started watching really after Jim Smith's successes (unfortunately).
