Here is a game for the older contingent, we have all see the more familiar picture of Mr Clough and the team of legends that won the First Division Championship in 1971/72 but there was another picture taken that day of the wider squad who also won the Texaco cup and the reserves won the Central League.

so lets see how many we can name

Great effort , do you think Frank Wignall had left at this point and that is in fact Roger Davies before he went out on loan ?

and as for the little dude next to John McGovern it looks like Brian is asking him who the hell he is !

I would say Graham Moseley is actually John o Hare. Frank Wignall may be right but also looks like Roger Davies.

I meant the little dude on the other side of John McGovern with the blonde hair, no way was he a footballer ! Lol

Apologies guys, I missed John O'Hare out after John McGovern.

Wondered about Roger Davies rather than Frank Wignall. Davies did not start for the first team until November 1972, so must have been there as one of the Reserves. He had a couple of games on loan at Preston at the start of the 1972 /73 season.

Wignall's last game was early November 1971, so yes, must have moved on to Mansfield (?) before the photo was taken.
