You missed out the verse (which was apparently about the Scots)

O lord God arise,
Scatter our enemies,
And make them fall!
Confound their knavish tricks,
Confuse their politics,
On you our hopes we fix,
God save the Queen!

Anyway, I'm celebrating St George's Day with a glass of Champers. It's my birthday.

You share your birthday with William Shakespeare,at least he achieved stuff.

What have they ever done for us?

.......Slayed dragons?

Apart from slaying dragons, what have they ever done for us?

This season was starting to drag on but now Saint Daz'n'Arry came to the rescue. :)

Twas a good day in Derby. Pubs were busy, good atmosphere, loads made the effort, dressed up in suits and roses in their lapels. Several pubs were one in, one out but the one thing about Derby is the fact that you haven't got far to walk to the next pub.

Fantastic free rolls/cobs/baps in Noah's Ark (other pubs had free snacks but we couldn't get near, the fat barstewards were out in force).....good day all round!

It was a fantastic day on the beer and we had free beef cobs in the Metro bar and sandwiches later in the City bar, but all the pubs did a roaring trade and it is probably the busiest day of the year around Derby now.

We got there early, really enjoyed it. Good to see a load of lads suited and booted with a rose on in town and at the match. Definitely make more of an effort next year. The squaddies on the pitch was class as well.

Had to have a laugh at the poor soldier stood right on the sprinkler, all credit to him didn't even flinch
