Sith Happens

Only just seen it, ramage had given impression on radio he had been clattered into, but purely accidental.

Really hope for him, not just for us, that its not that serious...still think it wont be...let him get fit, dont rush him back..rather wait until the new year or when ever and have a fully functioning will hughes rather than risk further injury.

Hopefully I'm wrong but he looks like he just did the textbook mechanism for an ACL tear. Foot planted, opening of the joint medially (inwards) and the sort of pop up as the joint rebounds back. I hope I'm wrong. I fear I won't be. Best case he's just torn his MCL in which case 8-12 weeks. Most likely, ACL and maybe MCL tear. Done for the year.

It was a virtually identical incident to my ACL tear. Which would mean a January return at a guess.

Such a shame if he's out for any length of time.

The way he was shaping up pre-season I think he was going to have a belter. He looked in great shape physically and I'd have put money on him adding goals to his game this year.

Fingers crossed it's just a jarring but I'm with a couple of the others on here, it looks as if it could be a bad one.

He'll be a huge loss and anyone who thinks otherwise is underestimating his influence.

Sadly, the way his hand went up straight away it was as though he could feel something. I've done various in the right knee. The way his leg shaped reminded me of when I did medial ligaments. You feel it and it hurts but if they haven't detached from the bone he might get away with weeks not months out. I've done ACL as well and that was an impact to the knee which iwsted it as the ACL is thicker than some of the other ones so here's hoping.

It certainly looks like something that would cause a serious injury but he came back out rather than seeking immediate medical advice which is the procedure for most suspected severe injuries, so it's more likely he's pulled something or twisted something. He could also have a very small fracture, that wouldn't be causing enough discomfort to warrant an immediate hospital trip.

if its a serious injury and with any swelling associated with it then there is no point seeking specialist treatment immediately. He would have had an initial check over, pain relief and maybe ice pack to reduce swelling before a scan and visit to a specialist either yesterday or today.
