Here's the link, obviously behind the Murdoch pay wall:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/6359936/McClarens-Rhode-to-the-Prem.html

The first two sentences read:

"BLACKBURN could let Jordan Rhodes join promotion-chasing Derby on loan if they crash out of the FA Cup today.

"Record-buy Rhodes has been in and out of Gary Bowyer’s team and may not start today’s FA quarter-final at Liverpool."

@reluctantnicko: @DemRams24 Been trying for 3-4 days ... has a chance ... seem to be willing to pay his wages in full for a loan.

@reluctantnicko: @DemRams24 Been trying for Jarvis at West Ham on loan ... and there is interest in Ward. Could be lively.

@reluctantnicko: @DemRams24 Rhodes thing will be sorted out one way or another first.

May affect what would spend on Jarvis. If got both. May let one go

@reluctantnicko: @DemRams24 Derby want to get Rhodes done fast. See what happens at game today.

Jarvis old news.

Rhodes won't come here I can't see it... That mean 1 striker left in Blackburn team nahhh can't see them letting him out on loan tbh. Martin back next week so no need for another striker in and Bent back for Watford game.

When you think about it, might not sound that daft at all if they are still in a financial mess.

If they go out the cup, nothing to play for in the league, in debt, Rhodes on high wages...

If Derby were willing to pay 100% of his wages plus a loan fee, puts him in an attacking team, in the spotlight at the top of the table, continues with the goals...wouldn't be a bad thing for them at all would it?

With the Premier League in sight, would the owners be willing to loosen the purse strings a bit more to bring in a proven goalscorer to push us along the line?

No Premier League club can come in now until the summer.

At first it sounded daft but then...
