Maybe we should start paying the refs as well

If you blame the defence for the result against Birmingham then you're either blind, idiotic or just plain ignorant.

The back four and Mascarell had a blinding game.

The goals came from an incredibly questionable penalty and three players jumping all over Dawkins to put it past Ince at the back post. When you're 10 on 10 in the box for a corner then your defensive capabilities count for very little as it only takes an awkward bounce.

For them to record their first shot on target in the 93rd minute is incredible. It shows how good we were defensively. If you want to place blame for the goal then it's Ince - for the penalty and not clearing his line for the corner.

If you want to manipulate your mind into believing something that didn't happen then you should try and at least pick something positive.

Ince being taken out by the goal keeper was actually a foul by Ince. Their goal keeper won the ball, Ince ran into him. He gave nothing.

watching the highlights, two things point out for me:

1) If Ince did foul him (which he didn't) why wasn't it a red card?

2) subtle one this but when Russell's shot was cleared off the line, Forsyth was deliberately tripped up by the goal keeper going for the rebound.

B4 - I know you are passionate but the referee was just bad, made mistakes both ways (Christie should have conceded a penalty) but we suffered because Birmingham benefitted from those mistakes.

There will have been an observer and there will be reports submitted by boy teams. He won't be refereeing in the Championship again soon. Sad thing is, for 30 minutes he was ok, but the missed foul on Russell started a cascade of wrong decisions.
