It's times like this I wish I was still in Old Blighty. However, I'll have to console myself with a day that should look like the following:

Wake up, breakfast, head to beach.

Lounge around on a white, sandy beach under a cloudless sky.

Swim in the crystal clear Indian Ocean.

Head home, put my feet up, maybe have a laugh reading LTLF forum.

Not sure what next, but probably will have to do some jobs around the house.

Late afternoon head back to the beach (predicted 38C tomorrow, so why not...?)

Head home and make myself a pizza.

8pm put on TV and for a couple of hours and imagine I'm back in Derby.

Go to bed happy...

COYR!

Pick up my son from the airport (He's only getting the bus from Coalville, but it's easier !), park up at the East Midlands Trains car park (Mrs MT works there, so it's FREE !), then try and squeeze into the Merlin to find the boys. Failing that, then it's over to the Fan tent and down a few bottles of over-priced cider.

Then over to our seats and settle down to watch a right, royal slaughtering of the Red Dogs.

I actually had a quid on us winning 5-0 last season, at 100-1 ! And promptly spent the winnings back in Melbourne. The odds on 5-0 are a helluva lot shorter, this season.

YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU RAMS !

3 hours as usual, to drive 115 miles down the M1 from North Yorkshire. Blizzard and white roads for first half hour. Making a weekend of it with the missus (tonight) and two more Rams fans tomorrow. Putting plenty of brass into the Derby beer and food economy and singing all the way back up the road on Sunday.
