Alph
Imagine being Thomas Muller here. Such a shame Bayern didn't go on to win this. Lucky Chelsea. wow. Impressive.
Sexydadbod
shame the atmosphere at the allianz arena has almost gone now with all the tourists going there. All the bayern ultras fans are at war with with the bayern board so refuse to turn up for some home games. They only go to away games now which is why bayern are loud away
Sexydadbod
I think they are starting to come up with a compromise now because they are frustrated at bayern buying all the talents within the league instead of using "home grown players" like Pierre Emile H

uttoxram75
Many "best" moments, individual goals, the 70's, promotions, etc but probably the single most emotional moment was standing on the pitch after the last match at the Baseball Ground. Just looking round the ground with my arm round my son's shoulders (he was 12) and watching others doing the same. Just looking up at the old wooden stands, the popside, ossie end, c stand, normanton end, the directors "box", the players entrance, floodlights......and realising that that's it - the Baseball Ground is gone, finished, being there for that moment in history, the place where i felt i'd grown up, seen us be champions twice, all the glory, the despair, the fights, the laughs, the pitch invasions all flashed through my head as i said my last goodbye from the centre of the pitch. It was hard to walk away, there were many of us still there ages after it was all over, not doing anything really, not even talking, just looking and remembering..... It was hard to walk away, there were many of us still there ages after it was all over, not doing anything really, not even talking, just looking and remembering..... I once had the pleasure of being escorted round Pride Park not too long after it was opened. My stepson was doing a school project on whether a football stadium should be revamped to modern standards, or just re-built. (He's a Leicester supporter, bless him). I wrote to the stadium manager who arranged, not only for a personally escorted trip round the stadium, but also for a visit to the defunct baseball ground. It was early March, I think, and the light was starting to fade. The old ground was deserted apart from a wee Scots chap who was presumably a caretaker. There it was, a complete working stadium, redundant, dusty, slightly un-cared for. Just standing there, in the dusk, the place seemed full of ghosts from the past, the players, such players!, the cheering of the crowd, the excitement, and yet empty. Now I'm not a very imaginative person at all, but I tell you, it sent shivers down my spine, and still does.

Monkeytennis12345
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=derby+county+2+1+rotherham+1986 For me, NOTHING will ever beat the feeling of seeing the ball hit the back of the net from Trevor Christie's penalty. After probably nine years of shocking decline and ending up in the old division three, THIS was my best ever footballing moment. We were on our way back up again.....on a filthy night at the BBG, the pitch as bad as it had ever been in the early '70's and the view from the Popside, if you could call it that, trying to peer through the fences from the 2nd row up (Meaning that you were just about pitch level, if you were over 6 feet 5 !). Yes, my best ever moment. Unless you'd actually experienced the REALLY dark times that had followed the halcyon days of the early '70's then it's probably had to conceive how promotion from Div 3 to Div 2 can be up at the top ! (This is, of course, aimed at all those on here who are under the age of 35 ..Young barstewards !), And our celebration at the Aston Court into the early hours also ranks as one of my 'best'(!?) ever hangovers as well ! 'Trevor Christie, cool as custard......'.

Sexydadbod
You mean the Danish international who spent his early footballing career at Brondby and Copenhagen? That is why I put home grown in quotation marks. Players like lukaku are even considered home grown. It is crazy
RLACML
Why would Bayern fans be unhappy about a lack of homegrown talent? Lahm, Muller and Schweinsteiger are key players and are all from the academy. Not many teams will have that many academy players playing at such a high level in the first team. Obviously, I have no idea about Bayern fans but I doubt this 'war' is true.
