Pearl Ram
Straight up LR, both said it could get to 21 degrees to make it the warmest Halloween since records began. Should be decent for those going to Brentford Satdee.

Mind you, it'll still be dark which is the best bit. :-)
sheeponacid
Unfortunately, yes. Bloody Americans. As if joining in with their illegal wars wasn't enough. I might almost accept under 12's dressing up but anyone older than that needs to get a life. F*cking halloween parties? I bet these are attended by the same kind of people who think fancy dress is a good laugh. Halloween is not America...its origins are in the Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced Sowen)...Samhain is the time of the year when the veil between life & death is at its thinnest & the crossing between the two worlds at its easiest......it was also often re-fared to, as the festival of the dead.... It was customary at Samhain to set additional places at tables to welcome the returning dead....crops were burn't on bonfires, as offerings to the gods & cattle were driven between the bonfires, as a purification rite... The triumph of Christianity over the pagan religions around the 800s AD, saw the festival eventually change its name to All Hallows day (all saints day).....with All Hallows eve, first having widespread mentions in the 1500's....Even though the name changed, it was still fundamentally a day for celebrating the dead, especially dead saints..... The festival has always been celebrated in Celtic countries...its celebration during the later centuries, was just not as widespread as in some of the earlier centuries (frowned upon by certain areas of the christian church you see).... I do agree though, that America launched the modern day commercialised Halloween that we see today... which is just a bit of fun.....But whilst you may not want to get dressed up to celebrate Halloween.... it is part of your Celtic heritage to embrace those that have past before us, & who await reincarnation during the hours of sunset on the 31st - sunset on the 1st... Gypsy Ram
Off to a party on Thursday, I don't do Halloween so I'm going as Goofy and I'm going to get drunk, wake up rough and have a hair of the dog "http://dcfcfans.uk/public/style_images/dcfcfans/attachicon" alt="attachicon">image Tissue box on the ready
Day
Not off to the party anymore so the Goofy suit will have to wait another time. Wasn't an American porkie but split up with the girlfriend so I don't think I'd be that welcome despite her housemate urging me to go. Nah. Duracell
I was dressed as a chili last night and almost pulled until the girl started crying about her ex. She couldn't take the heat. I dust myself down and move on.
