Duracell
In Simmo's telegraph piece on Derby midfielders needing to step up in Hendrick's absence, Coutts didn't get even so much as a mention. I'm really starting to worry for him now. In this instance, no news is bad news - this is a player who was meant to be back in the squad by now, and last we heard he had a "strain". But look at pictures of the squad training, and he's not there. The management team don't mention him, and the local media aren't asking any questions. It has all the hallmarks of a deliberate effort by the club to have his situation forgotten, and it seems to have worked. He's completely dropped off the fans' radar. The question is, why? Is Paul Coutts much further away from fitness than they first thought, and they're just leaving him alone to have his rehab in peace? Or is it actually much worse than that, and we're talking about something career-threatening? Or maybe much worse than that, is Paul Coutts simply a figment of my imagination? One thing is certain. Things are not as they first appeared to be.
Duracell
In fact, since Paul Coutts' '5 month layoff', I have: - split up with a girlfriend - failed miserably at Movember - completed an entire year of University - had two holidays - been through about three different hairstyles - started and finished my summer internship - moved in and out of a house - dressed up as Anne Robinson - smashed my phone's screen twice - watched my football team sack its manager, appoint a new one who everyone thought was rubbish, have an amazing run of form, have a wobble, have another amazing run and then lose at Wembley and then have an entire off season, before starting a new one and getting to the international break having played 7 games - Been promised a German CB - had my heart broken by a smokescreen of lies about a German CB - learned not to hate the taste of cucumber - got through four pairs of sunglasses - made a long list of things I've done since Paul Coutts was injured. What do you posters hope to achieve between now and his return?

What do you posters hope to achieve between now and his return? One tip - Buy better sunglasses. Who knows how long it'll be, so I'll be ambitious. - Learn French - Finish my masters - Grow my beard to Jake Buxton lengths. I look more like Russell for now - Get the gal - Half marathon, in training for the full - Learn how to style my hair properly - Save lots of money - See the Knicks in London. Again - Last but not least, Derby win the league
Duracell
RLACML, the only pair to break were my genuine RayBans, and the other three pairs I misplaced. Apologies, I should have been much clearer in my post..

Also concerned re Coutts, by the way - he was my choice for player of the season less than 18 months ago.

Ambitious
I'm actually hoping that Coutts will fill the Thorne role - he's worth a try, I guess. He's had a torrid time at Derby so far. I acutally believe that if he had played CM, instead of RM, we would have a much, much better perception of him.

Ashz09
I rate Coutts... I remember him going from the wing for a game or two to the middle. He did well there ran the game so to speak he made some awesome runs! (Just like in his youtube video). he was decentish on the wing seemed to rely on brayford a lot. Hope to see him on the bench sooner then later!

RLACML
Coutts is a bloody good player and on his day is the best midfielder we have got. On his day! Coutts is a good midfielder, but that's just silly. On their day, he's at least 5th in the order. (Hughes, Hendrick, Bryson, Thorne)
