ariotofmyown
Guess it's a typo. Will be interesting to see if Coutts gets involved much this season. He was pretty decent the season before, but I'd almost forgotten about him after his injuries. t'oldu
Definitely Paul Green. Released by Leeds and picked up by Rotherham. Both he and Pringle would be delighted to score tomorrow. Last time we played a newly promoted team on the opening day ( Peterborough?) it proved to be a banana skin. Worst was vs newly promoted Donny at home on the opening day after our nightmare prem season. 0-1. Probably in my top 10 worst DCFC games I have attended. randombc
A lot of new players can take time to 'gel'. Still fancy us. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/15989-paul-coutts/#findComment-669623 Share on other sites
YorkshireRam
Definitely Paul Green. Released by Leeds and picked up by Rotherham. Both he and Pringle would be delighted to score tomorrow. Last time we played a newly promoted team on the opening day ( Peterborough?) it proved to be a banana skin. With Peterborough though, they went in with the momentum after getting promoted and wanted to continue that, whereas we finished mid-table and had very little momentum. This time it's different because we have the impetus to play well and win. A win tomorrow would be a huge bonus to player and team morale because it would truly dispel the idea of 'Play-Off Hangover'. That way we hit the ground running and start as we mean to go on. Dimmu
I'm pretty confident, eventhough it's a clash of two in-form teams so anything can happen. Pringle-Green vs. our midfield? Ok, I'm not confident. Cocky is better word. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/15989-paul-coutts/#findComment-669635 Share on other sites
IlsonDerby
Pringle was a class above last season for the millers. Would like to see him in our current formation as he was never a winger or a box to box cm so 442 never suited him. Guest
Pringle will get found out this season. I don't believe the hype. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/15989-paul-coutts/#findComment-669641 Share on other sites
Purpleram
It would be a Buxton with nobs on progression for Pringle to do any more than make up the numbers in this division, but it's not that long ago that Jake was the player all the 'oh so knowing' footie fans chose to laugh at. t'oldu
Our current management told him to stop apologising for coming from the lower leagues and stop going on about how lucky he was to be playing for us. Didn't you notice the change in his interviews? They gave him the right to be where he is and the confidence to kick on.. he not only developed confidence - he also acquired a brain. CornwallRam
Is Coutts still injured, as I notice that he isn't even in the U21s? Must be nearly a year out now. Is it career threatening?
