eddie
Rams played against 9 men for about 1/2 hour. Anyone got thoughts on that and why we did not score against so few players? To give the whiners something to moan about and a few more clickthroughs for the website.
L_J_DCFC
Glad that Russell is really starting to show his finishing ability now that he is getting a run in the team.
MrsRam
It was a second yellow - but I think that Pete's point was that the foul was so bad that it deserved a straight red on its own. It happened right in front of me and it was a really vicious studs up lunge that could have ended Bamford's career if things had have panned out slightly differently - definitely should have been a straight red.Having said that, the yellow for time wasting was a bit harsh on that particular player. He seemed to be trying to take the throw but his team mates movement was too poor, It seemed that the ref had gotten so fed up with the Huddersfield players time wasting that he was itching to book someone and a slight hesitation at a throw gave him the excuse. I said that - he was shouting for someone to help him - got booked - and nobody helped him again - ffs. I got annoyed for him - but then.... -_-
rsmini
Nice comfortable win today, without having to move into top gear at any time in the game. Our 73% poseseeion proves that. Thrones pass to Russell was just superb. .The vision he had to see Johnnys run was perfect. If that pass had been in the Premier League Gary LIneker would have been raving about it. How good to finally have a decent referee who clamped down on time wasting. They deserved the bookings, pity the keeper wasn't booked earlier for delaying a free kick whilst a player was tying his boots!!! Pity we didn't shave the same ref for the Milwall game, they would have 5 sent off for time wasting

Mafiabob
It looked like we were going to click into gear and win in style. We got the passing game going but the flicks and touches weren't quite coming off and there were occasional individual errors. We could have scored after 3 mins when the keeper spilled russells effort following brysons free-kick but keogh put the rebound well over the bar from 6 yards. Russell put a free kick at least 10 foot over the bar - Bamford-style - before huddersfield took the lead against the run of play. adam clayton played it wide, Darren Ward beat forsyth for pace before delivering the ball across the 6 yard box, where Wells tapped it home as Wisdom dozed off at the far post. Derbys equaliser owed everything to a superb through ball by george thorne. Possibly the pass of the season picked out russell beating the offside trap and he finished superbly with a single touch. Huddersfield had been prone to time-wasting and the thuggish Lynch paid the price when he was booked for delaying a throw-in, and was then second carded for a brutal block on Bamford. The game was set for Derby to take over in the second half. 5 minutes after the break, Forsyth took on and beat the fullback before scooping the ball over only for the Huddersfield keeper - the normally impressive Smithies - to divert the ball into his own net. Good play put will hughes through in the box and the trip resulted in a penalty and a second red. This time Martin made no mistake from the spot. Derby were in a commanding lead without having yet engaged top gear. Ward replaced Bamford and started to threaten. Hendrick replaced Thorne and sprayed the ball out to flanks in similar fashion. But the Rams settled for three and the game fizzled out with a degree of anti- climax. Nevertheless a great win at this stage of the season. Grant 7 wisdom 7 forsyth 8 keogh 7 bucko 7 thorne 9 hughes 7 bryson 7 martin 7 russell 7 bamford 6 Agree with all except Thorne. Apart from setting up goal thought it was his poorest game today. Tried a few too many Hollywood passes today. But hey go we win anyway
North_Stand_Ram
Today proved where is at his best, in the attackinrgg midfield role. I thought he was great today until Thorne (who was my MOTM) went off and he went in the holding role. He started to give the ball away and his positioning was poor. We are such a better side when Hughes is at his best
davenportram
From the other end it looked to me like Bucko got himself between their player and the ball and was just fending off their players man lust from behind.

I think it was down to their player knocking the ball too far away from him.

Duracell
The passer gets all the glory - would have been ***** bit for the intelligent running if Russell The passer rightly gets the glory there. It's not like he passed it randomly and Russell happened to get there. It takes a lot of vision to pick out a run like that. That pass was a class above this level of football.
