Sky Sports understands a number of clubs are tracking out-of-contract Doncaster Rovers defender Tommy Spurr.

Blackburn, Reading, Derby, Ipswich and Birmingham are all interested in the left-back, whose current deal with Rovers expires this summer.

Rovers, who sealed promotion to the Championship and the League One title in dramatic fashion on the final day of the season, are expected to offer Spurr fresh terms.

The former Sheffield Wednesday man must now decide where his future lies with a number of options likely to be available to him.

The 25-year-old defender joined the Keepmoat Stadium side in Jun 2011 in a £200,000 deal from the Owls and has gone on to make 65 league appearances.

I think being a football agent is the easiest job in the world.

Just ring up sky and tell them your player is out of contract and is interesting up to 6 different teams, you may drop lucky and alert one of them.

Look how easy it was for the forum mods to get the Blackstock story to run on sky prior to the red dogs playing us at PP.
