The expensive Murray paying off and the form of young Zaha certainly would have gone a long way towards where they've ended up this season, but their recent past tells the whole story:11-12: 17th10-11: 20th09-10: 21st08-09: 15thIt looked liked their only way out of the league was down for a while there, but like many teams before them, the mix clicked and they are in a playoff final. Good work to them if they go up, but to simply say "it can be done" and look merely at transfer fees (whether they are right or wrong, and not considering spend in and out) is a pathetically narrow look at the situation.
