Blackpool v Derby County

Saturday 27 April 2013

KO 1500 hrs

Bloomfield Road in the English Championship

Derby end what has been yet another poor season on the road with 4 wins, 6 draws and 12 defeats, giving the Rams a total of 18 points in 22 games, can the Rams ensure the loss percentage will be less than 50%? Derby are mathematically safe, so wonder if there will be any experiments for next season or any youngsters blooded in?

Blackpool on the other hand, were highly rated for potential promotion, however after losing Ian Holloway and Michael Appleton they are now with their third permanent manager of the season Paul Ince, whose son Thomas is Blackpool's star player,  Blackpool's home form has been mediocre with 7 wins, 9 draws and  6 losses, a record of 30 points. Blackpool aren't mathematically safe yet, but it will take some turn of events for them to go down.

Recent form (upper case indicate home games, last 6 matches)

Blackpool: dWdWDl

Derby County: WwLldW

Last for meetings at Blackpool

Blackpool 0-1 Derby 2011-12

Blackpool 0-0 Derby 2009-10

Blackpool 3-2 Derby 2008-09

Blackpool 0-1 Derby 1985-86

Current league standings:

Blackpool 16th 55pts -2 GD

Derby 11th 58pts +3 GD

You do realise we'll have to live up to this level now don't you?

0-3 Martin, Sammon, Bennett

It'd be nice to end the season with a couple of decent wins so I'm going for 3-2 to us.

Ward, Martin and  Bennett for us and a couple of players who's names I don't really care about for them.

I'd like to see us totally go for it and try a few bits and pieces out, 3 up front or wingbacks or Bucko in midfield, Sammon on the wing, Legzdins on pens etc.
