Albert
no more strikers we score goals, we let alot in though, can we get soe defenders in please Nigel Who of Keogh, Brayford, Roberts and O'Brien would you drop? With some game time O'Brien could become a very good player at this level. Of course, Roberts isn't getting any younger, but something that can be dealt with in the summer. ChaddesdenRam
This players youtube Video: Skip to 2:39 for goals. Oh check out the very last goal it was vs Derby. I would say he isn't prolific enough. Good player but not going to give too much more than Sammon in terms of build up play.
DCFCfranco
I'd rather have Jackson. He doesn't seem better than what we have now.
Albert
To be fair, by this point we should probably ignore players goal scoring records before arriving, at least to an extent, due to Nigel's ability to get the best out of forwards. Think about it: Rob Hulse - His two best goal returns above the third tier of English Football came with Nigel as manager Kris Commons - His golden scoring spree came under Nigel, although he bagged a few in Scotland in the second half of that season, although as we all know a SPL 20 is a Championship 10-12 Steve Davies - Was not a goal scorer before Nigel arrived, he was considered "proven" by many on here by the time he left Theo Robinson - Who'd have thought he'd have in excess of 20 Derby goals by now? Jamie Ward - Hasn't scored as many since he was played out wide, but he's still scoring more than he did at Sheffield United Conor Sammon - Already got what... 7 goals... Not bad for the kind of forward he is, especially with people whining about him not being "proven" This Martin guy got what... 7 in 26 for Palace last season, given a full season and the Nigel factor, there's nothing to say that he couldn't crack 15 goals in a season. randombc
Got a decent free kick on him, but would rather have Simeon Jackson if offered the two, he seems more of a natural finisher, and this Martin seems to do more of the donkey work, which we already have Sammon for. We need a natural finisher now, someone who given a chance will score it, and get 15+ goals, to help us take the next step of becoming a play off team. If we loose another centre back to injury or suspension then we could be in trouble, just get someone in for depth so we arnt dropping midfielders in to fill in at centre back. We've still got Gjokaj and O'Connor at this time though, it's not as though we've be playing strikers back there after another injury.

Albert
Don't forget bucko. He'll be back fit soon. In terms of next season, between Keogh, Barker, Buxton, O'Brien, Gjokaj and O'Connor we should pretty much be set for the two centrehalf positions. The leftback position is a different story of course.

Not a fan of o'connor and players like naylor and gjokaj need more experience on loan IMO. OB could do alright depends on how he develops though. I'd say he's as good as buxton atm. If it was me i'd never play O'Conner. Gjokaj has potential but i'd still rather have some defenders rather than strikers. Ward, Sammon, Bennett, Theo are good enough for this season, especially seeing as Nigel still plays 1 up front alot of the time. Solid back four and we can get some clean sheets and shoot into the play offs.

Gjokaj couldn't get into an awful Carlisle Utd defence, don't think he is ready for first team yet, O'Connor seems to have lost the fans already. North_Stand_Ram
Ward and Sammon are forming a great partnership, don't need a change. Although, Jackson would be brill.

VulcanRam
He was on loan at palace last season. Another non scoring striker, can't see what he would bring us
Ambitious
He was very good against us last time I watched him for Palace and scored a belter from what I can remember was definitely their best player on the day...
cheron85
Before the game on Satruday Nigel was saying that they'd be looking to do the same as they did with Ward/Theo/Fielding and set up loans with a view to signing in the summer... Can't imagine Martin would be a sign in the summer player as Norwich would want good money for him
Ambitious
I think it's worth baring in mind that the SPL have 143 players out of contract in the summer - that is one of our scouting hotspots.
