They need to be in a World Cup qualifying group with Grimsby, Darlington and The Dog and Duck to stand a chance..but I fancy d and d might have them. If he keeps putting in the performances, the call up will follow. He's clearly being over-looked, so "keeping his mouth shut" isn't likely to make much of a difference. Even when at Killie their fans were confused as to why he wasn't atleast getting called up into atleast the fringes of the national sid, someone clearly doesn't like him in their selection process. On Another note Richard Keogh surely isnt Far from a Ireland Call up.Richard Dunne and John Oshea are getting on and apart from Ciaran Clarke no-one else is stepping for Club Keogh could even be Captian with his Leadership qualities.Despite not reaching heights YET Jeff deserves at least a bench spot for a friendly. Me neither particulary, but someone definitely doesn't like him along the selection process, when the Scots have experimented they've not bothered with him even then. Thei midfield is indeed strong, but you'd have thought he'd atleast be a back-up for injuries etc. Not even that, currently. If he played in the Prem he'd be getting the odd call-up, as it is, not so much. Still, atleast he's not knackered after mid-week internationals for league games. Leon is a late developer to a degree but for me he deserved his call up to the national squad about 4 years ago. He has been one of the most consistant midfield players of his type in the premier league for a good while. Im not saying he was a shoe in for the starting eleven but a squad place surely.
