I thought their offer did not include the stadium. If they hoped to pick up the club and the stadium for a total outlay of £30m I am not surprised they were told no.
checked bbc site again, Binnie £30m included stadium. Admins want nearer £50m including around £20m for the stadium.
-
bbc reports Binnie £30m for club and stadium not enough looking for nearer £50m.
So that gives the others a range to look at, including the stadium apparently.

2 queries.
1. settled with Middlesbrough but did we ever settle with Wycombe.
2. rumours of 15 points deduction for next season because not enough debt to be paid off.
Both these issues could be problems for potential new owners...

I still don't think Gibson took this action expecting to actually get any money out of it (or certainly not £45m) - he's all about proving his point (on how wronged boro were) and punishing Derby (because the efl did not punish us to his satisfaction).
So, ideally, like the sale of PP, a ruling of total vindication of DCFC wuld be nice.
Looks like Ashley taking a pragmatic approach to the various Derby t/o issues to see how much the total cost amounts to solving them all, then taking a view as to whether he'll run with it. Sounds like a sensible way forward.

Ashley talking to Gibson sounds a good idea.

28 points in first half of season, 21 deducted, stand on 7.
44 points last season, just stayed up.
So maybe need 37 more, that's 9 more than achieved in the first half of the season.
Could be done...

Mind the gap.
Wonder what the gap between the top bid and the combined creditors demand is at present. And whether it can be bridged in any way.

I just wish I could talk to admin people and see what is the hold up I be saying same as roony just give to kircher or appley as we need this sorted now.
Assume the hold up is that the combined creditors want more than potential buyers prepared to pay. Impasse that needs fixing, somehow...
-
Administrators may ask potential buyers for sealed bids on an item by item basis, HMRC, stadium, etc, etc. by say mid January and then put them to the various creditors. Or ask for single figure and then divide up at their discretion.
If bids not acceptable then maybe another round to tease out any higher figures.
Not sure how it will play out !
-
The potential buyers are likely to let this run long and let the administrators tease out all the financial risks. Powder and money dry until then. Would likely want t/o March/April/May to plan for next season.

A hedge fund would never invest in a football club, everyone knows only a few clubs in the world actually make money out of football.
A hedge fund might see capital growth potential placing a bet on Derby getting into PL and expanding stadium up to 41,000.

It's almost as if the players haven't played a lot of first class cricket for a while.
It's almost as if there weren't any warm up matches.
It's almost as if the ECB couldn't give a flying one about test cricket.
It's almost as if we're getting exactly what we deserve.
At least the focus on twenty twenty brought unbridled success...
Very true although we usually lose over there, remember 1970, 1986, 2010 though as different...
(think they are the right years...)

Chelsea £3bn asking price, excludes stadium freehold and club name, ground needs re-developing. Debts w/o. Unlikely to get asking price.
Derby range £30m - £50m, includes freehold fairly modern stadium that could be expanded. End price maybe £40m/£50m.
Derby likely to be a good investment for someone...
