Morris will not get a penny for the stadium. The payment will go to paying off the MSD loan that we owe... so reducing our debts and making the takeover happen.

But he’s not asking full price. Nothing like. He’s asking for enough to cover the outstandings to MSD

In negotiations you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar, endlessly insulting someone never gets the result required.

To those who ask why Morris should be "defended" .. ie not endessly villified and abused, this statement says it all.

I have no doubts that this is Liverpool taking advantage of the situation and expect us to thank them for them for doing it.

The two things aren't mutually exclusive, I could call you an ugly bar steward, it may be true, it's certainly derogatory.

And the people who are doing it aren't the sharpest tools in the box - How do you persuade someone who you entirely depend on but have no real leverage with to 'do the right thing'? That's right, abuse them, send them death threats, propose chants against them, suggest we meet outside their house etc.... It's puerile and entirely counter productive.

He had multiple other businesses before then.
He made DCFC a train wreck but as far as I know that is his only business failure he was succesful everyhere else. He wasnt running Derby on busines slines and that was the problem.

I’m looking forward to the day Derby fans stop posting foul mouth rants against Mel Morris on Twitter and sitting back soaking up the likes. We all know what he’s done and how we feel about it, but I’m bored as hell of those tweets.

Once this has all been sorted out (and it will be sorted out), then what will continuing to sing about him achieve? I don't think it will 'tarnish his name' , not least because his name is pretty tarnished already amongst people who will care. Outside the football world, nobody will either know about or care about a few chants. It will be best to move on, forget this sorry little period and look to a hopefully brighter future.
