Such a big win. I was gutted that I couldn't be there due to a family commitment but I kept checking the score. It didn't matter how we won but that we won. Pride Park sounded amazing from the videos going around on social media and I hope we can replicate that kind of noise for the last few games of the season. Given what a horrid time we've been through the past 5 years I don't think anyone can deny we deserve a bit of glory. I was absolute anti-warne at the start of the season and I'm still unconvinced he's the man for us in the next tier. But you've got to feel glad for the bloke who's now clearly loving his time here. I really feel that we'll get across the finish line into the autos now even if we have a slight dip. We've got a bit of leg room so hopefully we can make the most of it!

I've honestly lost track of who's a Derby fan and who's a Bolton fan in this thread.
Only one way to explain a team's performances over a season to someone who's not been to games. It's not Xg, or any of those stats. It's the league table.
Came home from the pub last night absolutely steaming. Mrs was well up for a bit of romance. Couldn't get little Oodle up. Absolutely limp.
I assume that still counts as getting my end away though. Ended my night on +1 expected shag, so that pretty much shows everyone how good I am in bed.
That's how stupid it Xg is.

WE ARE ACTUALLY SECOND IN THE LEAGUE
I’ve had plenty of conversations/disagreements on the forum with people who don’t rate the manager and would like a change but I at least know they’re Derby fans wanting the best for their club…At this point I’m done dancing round the fact and am calling it plainly, I don’t think you’re a Derby fan at all. You have posted this rhetoric about “luck” and “deserved” for more than a few weeks now, downplaying any and all results we have achieved. I don’t think I’ve ever read a constructive or positive post from you.

After 39 games we have more points than 22 other sides, have scored more goals than 20 other sides in the league, have conceded less goals than  22 other sides in this league, and have a better goal difference than all the 23 other sides in the league… at some point all of that has to indicate we deserve to be where we are even if there’s been good and bad luck along the way.

I was on cloud 9 after the win yesterday, it was really gritty and everyone played their part. I really feared the worse when Gayle went off as I don’t think Waghorn is looking as sharp as he did earlier in the season and understood why Warne went with Smith,  although it was an eyebrow raiser at the time, it sent a message to graft and not lose the game. It’s something that we will need to manage going forward, assuming Gayle is out for a while (or for the season) we are going to need find a solution for the remaining part of the season.
In terms of quality football, it was a typical League One game. Bolton played the ball between both centre backs and Sheehan (who Warne was absolutely right to make life difficult) but they were unwilling to really throw men forward and honestly I think they froze in the big moment. Up against a team who they needed to beat, who had no striker on the pitch, they couldn’t find a solution. Nelson, Forsyth and Cashin gave them nothing. Aside from the header in the first half, they really didn’t create anything clear cut either. A few potshots, but the xG tells the story that neither team really could’ve complained with a draw or losing.
A proper job, Warne deserves a lot of credit for navigating the team through it after Gayle went down. We do need to find a solution for the remaining games, if Gayle is done, Waghorn hopefully can start against Northampton and do a job. Collins will hopefully be back for the run in against Wycombe, Leyton Orient, Cambridge & Carlisle. I do worry about going in undercooked against Blackpool and Portsmouth, though.

WOW,,,, think that covers yesterday, the whole day was ducking WOW ,
second v third must not lose game and that’s what we got ,
what swung the game to a narrow derby win ?
    1. The culture Paul warne has built and is building at derby from bringing in the right type of people as players to fitness to those players being treated in a way that makes them want to run through brick walls for the shirt and the manager,
    2. the fans , our fans , my tribe , premier league ? You can keep that , yesterday was a league 1 game and you couldn’t touch that , it’s why I fell and stayed in love with derby all these years , yeah we have some moaners on here but they just drift into insignificance when you are in the ground and supporting your team, where we are and supposed standard of football mean nothing when put against yesterday, if you are not moved by yesterday and oh so glad you were in the ground or wishing to hell you were there then football is not for you ,
I was moved big style by the fans and warne interaction at the end , he didn’t bounce but that’s a mark of the man , im sure he will bounce if/ when he actually delivers the prize , he’s not lampard ,
for me warne is manager next season no matter what division we are in

That tends to be my feeling tbh. This does in part come from a place of self-interest as I regularly attend at least 10 games a season (this year I'll make it to 11, last season was 16 but I lived much closer than I do now) but these are individual tickets as it doesn't make sense currently for me to get a season ticket. I do think ticketing is a thing the club should be looking at next season as a bit of a revamp slightly 🙂

I agree with you. In this electronic age, it would be easy to prioritise in terms of actual attendances (not the "I'm a lifelong fan but I don't go because of....."
If you can't get yourself to Pride Park, then surely the same excuses apply to Wembley?

I don't think home memberships are a thing anymore. But that's why i wouldn't predicate it on membership but on actual tickets bought.

SOME Wycombe fans (and I stress "some") are now in the stage of trying to justify what Coupiggy is doing:

The difference is "pal", that no other clubs actively did things that jeopardised the survival of Wycombe in the way that their owner has now done to 2 clubs.

There's no perfect system but when we've been to wembley I've known plenty of people who've been once or twice over the course of not just the season but previous seasons who've gotten tickets and those who have been to 10+ games that season miss out. It's clearly not a fair system just to give season ticket holders a seat and then make it a free for all. If you've bought tickets to multiple games that season (I'd have a system of 15+, 10+ and 5+) then you should have some form of priority over others who haven't done that.

I liked Gayle as a signing and have always liked him as a player. At this level I knew he'd be a cut above tbh. We should give him a 1 year extension as he could probably still muster between 10-12 goals in the championship if he played regularly.

Always bugs me as if we slip into the playoffs and get to Wembley they'll be first on the phone for a ticket. I really hope if that happens we have categories for seat distribution based on tickets bought as well as memberships acquired as opposed to merely doing Season Tickets and then a free for all.

I think football would have a much healthier future if we put aside history and rivalry and supported any club in a desperate plight.
Yeah there were Reading fans that took the piss, but there would have been plenty that were supportive. And I’d rather support them with their struggles, which are looking just as bad as ours were, so we don’t lose another football club.
There are far too many rich elites running and ruining the game for us peasants to be fighting amongst ourselves.

So the Wycombe money for this is being pumped in by a Georgian billionaire with links to sanctioned Russians.
Wycombe are simply disgusting. Extorted us during admin when we had no means to defend ourselves and now this? Utterly revolting. If they ever find themselves in trouble I'll have no sympathy for them.
