MaltRam reacted to Alph in Boxing Thread
Yeah, I don't think any animosity goes deep. Tbh I don't believe Fury has anything like that for anyone. Probably explains why he's always able to mess with opponents and they don't know how to take him
I favour Fury but I think some of the doubters about AJ are very harsh. Think they're looking for a weakness all the time. The guy is capable of beating anybody in the world. His Povetkin win is massively underrated.
I think I'd prefer Fury to win but I know that mostly I'll feel bad for the loser. Great Champions and it's almost a shame they aren't at opposite ends of their careers. Almost.
Finally two boxing champions fighting at the right time for both men.

MaltRam got a reaction from cstand in EFL appeal
Every man and his dog has an opinion on Derby County vs the EFL. I hear a random 1990's West Ham midfielder has put his oar in now.
I don't want comments on my club from Ian Stinking Bishop.
There. Surely that's as low as we can get?

I haven't seen enough to form a serious opinion on the lad, but I hope he gets game time. Could be a player. Dean Sturridge looked keen but a bit 'meh' until he suddenly looked amazing. JHI could be the same.

MaltRam got a reaction from Archied in Frank Lampard
Can't help but like Frank, but he made a (very understandable) mistake in leaving us for Chelsea, then drastically overpaid for potential last summer. He's been on borrowed time for a few weeks.
I wouldn't want him back, even if had a vacancy. Not entirely sure there's as much substance behind the inspirational presence and aura as maybe some believe.
Similar inspirational presence and aura now resides behind the managers desk at Moor Farm, and it seems to me that there is a big healthy nugget of substance behind Mr Rooney as a manager too. 6 weeks ago, I was decidedly nervous about him, but right now...Frank or Wayne? Only one winner for me.

I just keep hearing what Eddie Hearn said, that he's going to clean up. Creates a bit of interest, even though the opponent tonight wasn't able to remotely deal with his power. Was worried after that second knock down that the lad was going to get seriously hurt.
Here we go then.....everyone reckons Joshua mid to late. Hard to disagree. Where's your money?

Gotta admit, there's nothing quite like big HW UK fights. Even with some good fights this year this is the cup final stuff. Home champions fighting at home. Buzzing!!
C'mon AJ!!

Not seen much of the bloke to be honest. Clean as a whistle that though.

Can't stand Okolie. Meant to be fighting Glowacki which would have been a proper test.

Boxing gets a bad rep. My girlfriend gives me a bit whenever I pod out....'so violent, how can you blah, blah'. Then, tonight, I see some article on the BBC about the UFC fight where some bloke gets sparked by a kick to the head while holding his opponent's other foot.
So I look. Try it. See what you think.
I get the athleticism. I get the spectacular KO element. But I do not appreciate or respect the spectacle. All this UFC, cagefighting ******** is just so much crap.
Boxing. That's where the contest is, where the skill is to be appreciated, where the class is in fighting sport. The rest of it can do one. not interested.

I thought Whyte was bossing it, but I reckon Dillian bought that too. Got sloppy, got tagged by a worldy punch.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, far more than watching AJ pat Andy Ruiz in the face for 12 rounds.
I hope he gets his rematch, and I hope he wins. He's just short of the top class I reckon, but he's absolutely top value for the sport.

To be fair we have scored 1 goal in the last 5 games so it's not like we miss him.
Tin hat on.

I sat on the edge of the bed last night pulling off my boxers. Missus said, 'you spoil those dogs'.

Yeah I don't think he's a world champion in the making. He's perhaps the new Chisora. Entertaining, tough, very tough if motivated but ultimately an opponent for World Champions. Bridesmaid but never a bride type thing
Really hope he proves us wrong.

Oh feck off Darren Barker.
Povetkin looks old, Povetkin has lost his speed, Povetkin's punch resistance is down, Hunter was too fast for him... Sky Sports pundits all week writing him off.
Povetkin is so old he kept up with the Forrest Gump of boxing, Hughie Fury.
He's lost so much speed that he smashed Joshua in the face a dozen times in 9 minutes.
His punch resistance is so low based on... no? Just more poo then, Darren?
The same Michael Hunter that Povetkin caught up with and started bossing?
Yeah, maybe don't stick with the narrative brief when the narrative is full of poo.
All that work, all that chasing, all those dangerous fights, all that drug/suspension poo only to fall at the last hurdle.
Whyte should be a peoples champion anyway for giving these types of fights. Hopefully his comeback can be vs Darren Barker or Froch who are paid for expert opinion and to tell people Povetkin is past it based on 2 World title losses (1 to a legend) and 6/12 rounds vs Michael Hunter.
