Hourihane is captain, passes the ball better than anyone else on the books, and has done it all in the game. It'd be mad not to start him 90% of the time. The blend around him has to he right though.

Ward, for good reasons, is third choice RB. We also have Smith as cover Yes he can cross...but in a situation where we only have one fit striker, he can go. Fornah has some positive attributes, but he's lost the ball poorly so many times that if it means we can get someone else in...he can go too. First half against Bradford he was excruciatingly bad. Not sure Warne can trust him.

Bad performances, over a stretch, guarantee that results drop off. We're in a period of awful form, and average results. One thing or the other will turn.

Their goal. A throw in, one turn, one pass and we're wide open on the opposite flank. I'm going to have nightmares about that. The ref was the worst (in a totally unbiased, equally inept for everyone type way) I've seen in years, and it doesn't even make the top 10 of things to be raging about. Hope I'm wrong, but unless we can sign a leader in that midfield (and now a striker) in the next week forget top 2. We might limp in top 6, but no way we win the play-offs. We don't have the minerals. Way too often we're soft and easy-osy when we need to dig in. I'm going out to the garden to scream until my vocal chords rupture.

Abysmal from first to last. The passing was unimaginably awful. The offsides. The wasted set pieces. The absence of a shred of desire to fight for the shirt, each other, the fans or their wages. Disgusted. They need digging out for that.

I'm going to try to tempt fate to help us by saying that I'm struggling to remember a worse performance.
