  1. That Burnley game will live long in the memory. 'The ref's a Bamford and his wife's a slag' was the official line from the away end, as I recall. Abysmal decisions, rivalled only by Atwell in that era. I think he's biased. Half a chance and he'll do us down. Add in the Barnsley apprentice factor, and it's an abysmal (AKA standard) appointment by the EF...F...L.
  2. Let's get promoted, then worry about it. I feel like the core of the back 5/6 is there if we do make it, plus a couple of the front lads. CoYR
  3. Didn't we have wages for a loan striker 3 weeks ago? Don't understand the problem.
  4. I'm blocking you Ramit. It's either that or get banned. You've bought into inane arguments about significant global issues, and the garbage you spout about them is pure distilled idiocy. If you had your way democracy and liberty would be dead in months. Not personal, I hope for the day you sense, but goodbye.
  5. Next Saturday at Barnsley looks massive. Very chuffed with a point. Never know your luck though, we're all Cambridge on Tuesday. Come on you Us!
  6. Hang on...it's well documented how they tried to get a striker in, and well documented why it didn't happen. It would have been negligent not to try, but nonpoint signing a striker who wouldn't bring anything to the party. We have 4 strikers. All injured. Nit Warne's fault. We'll make do until we get one back, and we'll try to sign a free agent. All sound and sensible to me.
  7. Jesus. Imagine if we'd lost.
  8. Sometimes, I wonder why I bother on here. The pig-ignorant, self-entitled, frankly stupid guff that gets smashed out by some folks is beyond a joke.
  9. I went so far as to say he was, in terms of technical ability, the worst first choice striker we've ever had. I'd be obliged to add that no first choice striker has ever worked harder. On balance, I've grown to love him.
  10. Regulation away win aganst inferior opposition. Disciplined, hard working, clinical at the right moments and with the just enough bits of extra quality to take the game away from them. Well done Derby. On to Saturday.
  11. I'll expand on my 'no' comment. There were positives yesterday, but nothing new to take from the day. Adams, for instance, was aggressive and looks a solid addition...but we thought that after Charlton anyway.
  12. I'm going to stick with my pre-season position, almost, and say autos. HMS Piss-the-league may be a bit leaky, but she'll limp into port OK. 2nd.
  13. All the chat about subs, reffing, late goals, fine...I get it. For me though the takeaway is that it was another dull as muck afternoon. If we win, I'll wear it, when we don't though...I just start thinking about what could have done instead and I wonder why I'm bothering.
  14. I think you're in danger of diasppearing up your own chuff mate. Your athletics analogy is too convoluted for me to cope with, I'm afraid. My best guess is that you're saying my rejection of xG means I'd approve of ruining athletics if they ruined athletics because the new style ruined athletics would be official? Have a lie down. I can at least see where youre going with the Premium bonds bit, but Ernie is amenable (just) to statistical evaluation and it's the same every time. Football isn't like that. xG can put a statistical veneer on the "how did he miss that" chats that happen after every game. It can't tell you a deal beyond that...certainly not compared to points won.
  15. Valentines is next week, you soppy buggers. 🥰
  16. If you like. I should add in my defence that I'm swayed towards preferring points return over xG because that's what they use to construct the actual league table with. Seems more important to me somehow, but you do you brother.
  17. Illustrating nicely why xG is of limited interest. We got 6 points more than them, everything else is a sideshow.
  18. 1 point from 9 for Posh? If we went on that run it'd be Warne Out, board out, tits out on here. Lots of slips, twists and turns to come.
  19. Bolton will now be Sat/Tue from now until they come to Derby mid-March.
  20. CBT to play wing for NML to let him heal up. Nyambe for Ward for muscle. Wilson in for Bradley to balance the front 3. Done. Same midfield and keep Sibbers at LB for attacking thrust.
  21. They might be physical, but they've only scored 6 away goals all season. 15 games.
  22. Feel like we could go 433 at home. Get CBT in, stick with the midfield.
