  1. Fair point, but at the risk of quibbling that wasn't exactly stated. Implied, sure. I feel like we shut people and ideas down far too readily these days, and this is another example. See Dawn French's comments yesterday around JK Rowling.
  2. We've earned nowt, scraped nowt and done nowt yet.
  3. Folks, please. Are we capable of losing at Cambridge? Are Bolton capable of smashing Port Vale 4-0 at home? We aren't remotely there yet. Keep the champagne in the box, and only put it on ice if we win on Saturday.
  4. Joe Wildsmith's diving header to save a point might be the key touch of the whole season.
  5. Been trying not to look at text updates every 30 seconds, but failed completely to do that for the last 15 minutes. What a result. I think we can relax just that touch now at Cambridge. The knowledge that a draw isn't the end of the world means we can play with that bit more freedom, and feels to me like it'll make victory more likely. I feel...optimism? Is that what this is? It's been so long!
  6. So I googled. It wasn't racist. It was ill directed. There are a significant number of Islamic fundamentalist out there who want you and I dead, the more brutally the better. It's not racist to acknowledge the fact.
  7. Funny old game. 1 chance in 10 Shrewsbury get something, but you never know.
  8. Sorry, who's a racist now?
  9. Little bit of politics there?
  10. We got ahead of ourselves (well, I did) ahead of Northampton and again against Wycombe. I'm going to focus wholly on Cambridge all week. If we f*** that up, little hope of coming back again, IMO. It's well within our capability to stick a rank performance in and come out without the win.
  11. It won't happen, at least not for Will's next contract, but he remains my favourite player this century.
  12. They're missing half a team, apparently. We need aggression, pace and positivity. No half measures, go and smash them.
  13. Not read through, don't have the strength. That was f****** appalling. Collo might as well have taken my dog for a walk, and taken CBT with him. I'm not going to go off on one...it's not changing anything...but that was reeeeally f****** appalling.
  14. I'm in pieces. It's going to be OK isn't it? Isn't it? I need tranquillisers. Help me.
  15. Igor Stimac joining the commentary team for Carlisle? 🤩 Paul Simpson joining the commentary team for Carlisle? 🤪
  16. I'd have taken a point at kick off, and over the piece we were one wrong body shape from a striker from a famous win. Good performance each and every Ram. Good point. 4 games to go, advantage Derby.
  17. 2-1 Derby. NML opener, Collo winner rebounded off his knackers in a 98th minute goal line scramble.
  18. Pep Guardiola thinks he can do a job off the bench in the Prem. I suspect he's right.
  19. That was a nail biting, glorious, low rent league 1 scrap. I loved it, and after April I never ever want to watch anything like it again.
  20. It was a question, not a statement, so I'd appreciate it if you'd dial back the righteous indignation, but I'll explore the theme a little further. Haiti is a murderous s*******. Who's fault is that? France's? They were kicked out by the inhabitants well over 200 years ago, and the colonial population killed. Not their problem, I would contend. The USA carry some blame as they occupied in the early 20th century and massively damaged the country. 75 years later though, they've hit rock bottom. Is that anything to do with anyone in the UK? Not for me, especially when we've got our own roof to fix. How much blame do the inhabitants carry for their own circumstances? Some? None? People kill each other in the absence of civilisation. That could almost be a workable definition of civilisation. Can a civil society be imposed? Even by a nation as powerful as the USA, backed by it's allies? The girls of Afghanistan would say the evidence is against. Until the people of Haiti stand for themselves, they'll live and die on their knees. They could be helped, and I'll bet they will be, slowly...but it's on them to learn their lessons.
  21. I hope you like real ale. If so a pub tour is recommended. Brunswick, Alexandra, Smithfield, Exeter Arms, being my pick. Countryside is lovely...not so much in March though. Enjoy.
  22. At what point does a people begin to take responsibility for the state of it's nation. You can't impose peace, social responsibility, law and order etc from outside, or can you?
