  1. How much would it cost to do a complete rebuild of the team, to something able to complete for a top 2.

I can't think of any area of the team that wouldn't require improvement, given this season.

Is it a good idea to tell the world you have a lot of money to spend.

Other clubs will rub their hands together and say, happy to charge you more than market value for players.

If this money exists, I'd wonder whats happening about buying the ground.

Doesn't not owning the ground mean you don't get the full money from sponsorship and merchandise, which is a big reason to own the ground.

Derby will need some very good scouts, but those scouts will think we can charge more since we know the team has deep pockets

  2. The sky sports article on Alonso was helpful.

However, I now turn my attention to Rooney.

Rooney is a big name, he might well help attract talent to Derby.

Rooney doesn't have his fa coaching badge.

Rooney while fielding a weak team and not being able to strengthen it effectively has except with loan players, most of whom were probably the best he could get at the time with team facing potential relegation.

Do I trust Rooney to strengthen the team with enough talent to promote the club.

Do I trust Rooney to stop making tactical blunders, because in my opinion he's picked the wrong tactics several times and cost Derby the match.

At present I'm thinking Rooney would make a good assistant manager but he's not the finished article ready to take Derby through a promotion challenge.

He doesn't look to me like someone who can mastermind enough wins.

This season the teams largely been to weak to be a threat at the championship level.

Next season the newly demoted teams with their parachute payments will be in the strongest position to win promotion.

There are a number of more tactically astute managers than Rooney in the championship already.

Derby need a manager who knows how to win promotion to the Premier league.

    Can Rooney achieve that.

Its a gamble for Alonso to say he puts his trust in Rooney

I know these things have been said already.

I'm just revoicing the thoughts of others

  3. A good builder does not blame their tools.

Sibley is a young player, he was only given 20 minutes at the end of a match in which the entire team was struggling to produce a result.

The formation played was not the best one to pick to beat Millwalls team.

I am however not blaming Rooney for this, he is new to management, and is by no means the finished article.

I dont think Rooney has his full coaching qualification from the FA yet?

There were Derby players in the match against Millwall, who deserved to be picked out for criticism, obviously Waghorn (although he is playing out of his best position), but other players as well.

Jozwiack once again did not perform, but he is the wrong sort of player for the formation that Rooney selected to play yesterday.

CZM and Knight, did not perform that well yesterday.
