  1. Please try and be more negative. I've been a RamsTV subscriber for 58 years and this is the worst performance I have ever seen.
  2. Dire start. Warne out. We should be 4 up vs this team.
  3. I'm watching on RamsTV tonight for the first time in a while. Gonna try and get into the Xmas spirit and slag the team off at every opportunity. Team selection is terrible, tactics will be awful, we'll never score, no way we win this one. I'll leave the vicious personal attacks until we are 0-0 after 5 mins.
  4. I think this just makes the deadline for funniest opening post of the year. Some people will not spot the satire, more fool them. I salute you.
  5. Actually, I was talking to some friends earlier and, no exaggeration, it's like everyone you have ever known, all your friends, all your family, all your colleagues, all your neighbours, everyone....it's like they have been locked inside a bakery before it was set on fire. And you are right there with the key, metres from the door. But your feet are set in concrete and you can't do anything to help expect watch all their faces melt off. ......... To be fair, probably worth crying about. Copper was probably the only thing helping them avoid folding as a club. How long they got now? 2 years before admin? Maybe time their fans start protesting about their gangster owner? Or perhaps that should have started when he first got involved.
  6. As a kid, the Home and Away round got on my nerves (well not really). When some from a less popular sport came on, and chose Home, they would invariably get a very simple question for their sport, but it was delivered as a very hard question, ie who is the world champion of their sport. Then when a footballer or cricketer went Home, they usually ended up with a pretty difficult question on that sport. The team captains never seemed to work this out! Loved the "there are more questions than answers" tune from the mystery guest one. Might look that up now actually. It was great back in the day, but I reckon if we watched it now, it would be proper cringe.
  7. I think that should be "the more he invites pelters from everyone"
  8. I think every club in the top 4 divisions should be owned by a billionaire. Proper football.
  9. Some random posts about whether we want to go up and the usual suspect laying into one of our players who sounded like he had a good game. We must have won. Again.
  10. I was thinking the same thing! Little guy Musk, fighting against those evil companies like Disney. It was the same back in 2016. All those business saying the economy would be screwed up if we left. Then it screwed up. Although, I'm pretty sure lots of journos were also advocating leave, well the ones who were mates with the few people who did well out of it.
  11. On a bus stop in the town "John-Jules is cool" Written for everyone with eyes in their head
  12. Wow, I just thought Musk was some rich A-hole that had no relevance. Didn't realise he was so blantanly into destroying democracy! Elon Musk last week endorsed a McGregor run for office, posting that it was “not a bad idea”. The billionaire also assailed Ireland’s taoiseach, Leo Varadkar. “The Irish PM hates the Irish people,” he posted to 164 million followers. “The current Irish government clearly cares more about praise from woke media than their own people.” Musk also criticised a plan to widen laws to tackle incitement to hatred on social media platforms. “Suppression of the Irish people is the real crime,” he said. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/nov/29/dublin-riots-conor-mcgregor-accuses-irish-officials-making-him-scapegoat
  13. We are obviously top of the 4 match form guide, 2nd in 6 match form. We have the 4th best record in the league too. Got a nice 11 day break now to rest ready for the busy Xmas period. Our 2 postponed games will be after the transfer window reopens, so should give us an advantage over teams who have already played more games, especially if we strengthen. Of course, performances haven't always been great this season, but we are heading in the right direction. I know everybody always wants everything straight away, but perhaps it's sometimes ok to allow things to take a bit of time. It's also ok not to start with definite opinions, then have to re-enforce these at every available moment. Finally, it might be a coincidence, but most of the posters whom I've "debated" with on other subjects in the past usually talk sense on football matters. I often find myself nodding in agreement with@G STAR RAM, @Archied, @maxjam. Even @iRam sometimes!
  14. Yep, was a good night! Only Portsmouth of rest of the existing top 8 winning. Portsmouth away at Northampton Saturday with one of their games in hand. Then the next weekend, we are at Orient whilst Peteborough play Oxford and Portsmouth play Bolton. We just need to win again and the table will take care of itself.
  15. Maybe it made you laugh because it was intended to be a ridiculous comparison. You obviously ignored the rest of the post. I'm not entirely sure your adding much to the debate here to be honest. Your posts would be relevant if people were saying Hamas are great and their actions are justified. Which of course no one is.
  16. Hold on, are you saying Hamas are not great people? Wow, big news! Let's bomb to death 1000s of Palestinian children to teach them a lesson.
  17. All anti-semites right? Israel agreed to a two state solution. Their leader (and former military guy) who helped push this agreement through was then murdered by Israeli extremists, supporters of whom are now leading Israel and have been happily breaking Israeli laws by continuing to settle people in the West Bank. The debate should be: are Israel justified in their bombardment of civilians in Gaza because Hamas terrorists committes terrible attrocities vs Israeli civilians. And if you think they are justified, is it even a good thing to do, from either a military or a future diplomatic point of view? The debate is not: hey, it's always been a disputed land, right? I'm off to kill some Anglo Saxons and send them back home. Or should I be going after Vikings? I'm probably a mix of both.
  18. See my last post on Cheltenham, looks like a solid point in context now lol
  19. Neither positive or negative, just factual 😉 One more fact. Since our shocking, season-ending draw at rock bottom Cheltenham, they are 6th in the form table (taking the last 6 games starting with our match).
  20. Port Vale have 7 defeats and 3 draws in last 10 games, and have lost last 4 home games. On Tuesday, Oxford play Bolton and Stevenage play Peteborough. Surely it's going to be a good night right?!
  21. There are 6 teams we haven't played so far and none of them are in the current top 8 teams. I wondered how that compared to the rest of the top 8... (Team/Played/Points/Top 8 not played) Bolton 17 38 (Barns, Ox, Ports) Pompey 17 36 (Ox, Bolton) Oxford 17 35 (Ports, Bolt, Pete) Stevenage 19 35 (Pete, Barns) Peteboro 18 34 (Steve, Ox) Derby 17 30 (None) Blackpool 19 30 (None) Barnsley 17 28 (Bolt, Steve) Maybe we are doing better than we thought!
  22. I was thinking the same. Mel probably told him there was loads of money to spend at first, then told him we were skint at the end of the season. Maybe he had Lampard already lined up and was glad Rowett left. Or Lamps/Redknapp persuaded Mel to go for broke. It nearly worked.
  23. Sounded great on ths radio. Commentators mentioned him by name too and talked about his support of Derby xx
  24. I understand the reasons why teams take risks passing it round the back etc, but most the dangerous moments in the City Lpool game today have happened from mistakes trying to play it out round the box. It still seems possible to keep and build possession without taking the most extreme risks.
