  1. Is that the real cover or someone's joke of what that book might look like?
  2. I assumed the poster was only 14 though.
  3. Have you forgotten you are already a laughing stock or something? This screams of an attention seeker poster, desperate for literally anything to criticise Warne with, especially as Bradley is on bench. Poor post and a terrible supporter if so.
  4. No need, Cashin is as effective at this level.
  5. That was where it all went wrong. Imagine if we had signed players that had improved the team. And what might have come next.
  6. Well probably the Bald Eagle promotion season when we properly made it count!
  7. Really looking forward to tonight. We have a chance to move into the top 2, would be so good if we took it. Feels like a long time since we were in a position like this, probably Lampard season. Come on you Rams!
  8. Whereas Forest just have a fan of baked goods, who when purchasing said items from the shop, sometimes accidently leaves his cigarette stub next to flamable materials. We've all done it.
  9. It's difficult to know how we get out of this mess really. The country needs loads of money spending on it, but there isn't really any money. Our growth and productivity doesn't really seem to have recovered, but our costs have gone up. Taxes, at least for normal people, are as high as ever, so we can't really raise money that well. It's difficult to bring in cheaper workers from abroad now, that's if they even want to come. It's harder for small businesses to trade now too. All I can think of is that a smallish number of huge companies are taking all the income, often not taxed properly due to their global setup. When we had more, smaller companies, they would then pay a fair share of tax on profits. Or perhaps the West's wealth was really just based on exploiting poorer countries, who now are richer and powerful and unwilling to continue in this role anymore. Who knows how we start to address this? Some intelligent, focused leadership might help.
  10. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/jan/14/englands-councils-bankrupt-westminster This sums it up
  11. Will they also make up that fans were stealing from the ill fan a swell as urinating on them? Who are the people who buy this hate filled rag?
  12. Bolton game was stopped because of an ill fan. Reading game was due to pitch invasion/protest.
  13. Before we play Bolton on 16th March, they have 2 free midweeks. They also have to rearrange today's game, then possible further cup games. We have 4 free midweeks.
  14. Yep, and still in trophy. There will be another fixture for this abandonment, was only 17 mins played and no ones fault. May be a different situation if a game was nearly over and the losing teams fans caused the game to be stopped.
  15. I think it's less pressure knowing Portsmouth have lost and Bolton not played rather than them both winning and us feeling like we have to win to not lose ground.
  16. Obviously we would want Charlton to get something, but as we are playing them twice in Feb, not the end of the world if their bad form keeps going.
  17. Bolton game suspended for a fan taken ill. Not nice to hear and a postponement would be bad news for Bolton. They already have an extra 2 cup matches to play, as well as an extra league game on us. If they do get through in FA Cup, that would be another postponement too.
  18. Portsmouth really looking in a bad way now. 5 points in 5 games before today, next 3 games are all away at Fleetwood, Port Vale and Oxford. Assuming they fail to win today, you'd hope we'd be above them with a game in hand by end of the month.
  19. You and thousands and thousands of other people who stopped going to football matches. But that story isn't very exciting or cool.
  20. There have been plenty of posts on this thread where Derby fans, not looking for trouble, were chased and attacked. The people on here who did engage in fighting seem like a decent sort, in terms of only fighting with others who were fighting, or as self defence. I doubt people who chased and attacked rival fans, who weren't looking for trouble would post that on here, but obviously, lots of Derby fans would have done this too.
  21. Yeah, I didn't really think the violence was handbags. This then suggests that plenty of people would receive life changing injuries. When this happened, did everyone accept it as collateral damage. Or did people stop and think if it was really worth it? I always remember that series about old football violence with Danny Dyer, when they were basically gloryfing Birmingham hooligans who had black fans in their ranks and all listened to cool reggae music. They also stabbed a 12 year old Leeds fan to death, but that part is quickly brushed over as talking about the real impacts is not cool. So among all the war stories about the old days, are there other stories where a mate lost their site in their left eye, or a another fan was off work for months and was unable to continue working in their existing profession? Or was it more like TV fighting, when a highly violent fight results in barely a scratch in the next scene?
  22. What were the feelings like when someone got kidney failure from been kicked in the back, or brain damage for been punched and cracking their head on the kerb? Have the life changing injuries been blotted out, or did miraculously, no one ever get seriously hurt? Or perhaps is was all bravado and handbags?
