The whole curse of manager of the month, isn't it mostly regression to the mean. Most teams are going have good runs in a season, but they won't last long, else everyone would always be winning. The teams who end up at the top of the league will have lots of good runs, so possibly have a few good runs during the season. But for everyone else, they will have good runs, followed by bad runs. Also, to get manager of the month, your good run needs to coincide with a calendar month. If you won every home game, but drew every away game, you'd achieve promotion but probably never be the best calendar month performer. Basically, there are no curses, and most teams will naturally drop off after a good month. If you don't, you are one of the best teams in the league.

Oh definitely agree. My point was more that at least the West is aware of what is going on, even if they aren't doing anything about it. Wars in other regions barely register at all, even with greater numbers of deaths and destruction.

Portsmouth have just 5 points from last 5 games. Lost at Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham Drew at Exeter and home to Cheltenham Won home to Stevenage. There would be an apocolypse on here if we had that run of results. 2 points from 3 of the bottom 5. They are also yet to play Oxford yet due to postponements. Not looking too rosey for them, wonder if it's injury related?

4 off top, 2 off autos. Great win after losing our unbeaten record last game. Look a bit vulnerable when we lost control of midfield, 6 goals conceeded in 3 games but at least 8 goals scored. Our form suggests automatics, but could do with other teams dropping off so we can keep climbing table. Hopefully Cheltenham can get at least a point vs Portsmouth today.

Thought we've played really well in possession against a team who were up for impressing their new manager. Looking so much better than earier in season, our better quality is now obvious. Saying that, some dodgy moments down our left when they've got in much too easily. Probably adjusting to the formation, but problem seems to be between Cashin and Forsyth. Feels like we are playing with a RB, 2 CBs but a LWB. Not sure how much of this is by design or players not been where they are supposed to.

Just saw a replay, it was a horror tackle. That is what is needed for a yellow.
