Atwell v Forest. Addison’s header. Awful decision.
Agree about Martin at Burnley too. Should’ve had a penalty but was booked for diving. Sent off later for 2 bookings. Pure rage as the ref walked past Derby fans at half time. Bobby Madley had a shocker.

I think we have one big factor a lot of other clubs don't have to attract new talent
The size and stature of Derby County is far superior to most of the Championship
The training facilities are 2nd to none - the fanbase - the stadium . The parachute payments are a big factor I get that, but as a footballer to play at Luton in front of 10k in their small stadium wouldn't inspire me
I find the Max Bird sell off, odd from the players angle, we must of been that desperate for the money
I think we should explore overseas a bit more this season, with the right players we should aim for top half
I think the Derby fans backing are worth more Than we think
A whole new midfield is pretty much the priorty

Desperation stakes …. Just like at the end of the window in Jan last time….
I'm sure Warne said a few months ago, he was not looking to sign anyone who isn't in their prime and not interested in anyone who is passed 30 without a sell on value
I find the names mentioned bizarre, really whats the point
Looks like the promotion push isn't on anymore. We are in a perfect position to have a real go. but either the EFL or lack of ambition is our downfall again
myself I think we need a strong centre mid player more than anything else

Nice point to raise before it costs us
I think that bolstering midfield is more effective than the defence
I never understand why crowding the defence with extra numbers works. I say stop the ball at source which is really midfield. keep the back four and crowd the middle of the pitch may work better ?

Weston reminds me of Malcolm Christie, pace and can finish and good link up play with Collins for his third. All the youngsters look promising, where have they been hidden ?
I thought exactly the same thing Malcolm Christie clone, out of all the young lads Weston looks to have something

I don't blame the players
They aren't good enough to get us out of this league, its that simple
They are trying their best, its obvious to me apart from 4 or 5 the recuitment has been poor. The blame is then laid at who ?
The manager ? has he signed the wrong players
The recuitment ? Has he been giving the wrong advise
The owner - You just can't blame the owner, as he saved everything - but if the club is now stable and a more sellable asset they must try and sell to take us to the next level
The Alfie May signing of £250k to Charlton was worrying

Its a fact of football until we can start to pay fees and offer better contracts than the opposition. we will stay where we are
I know people will say that the road to ruin, but thats how football works in every division. I know there are few exceptions to the rule, but generally money talks
Well as far as I know we have not paid a transfer fee yet, and some say we are paying highish wages. I'm not sure thats rightly true
So when we really have a go by getting in the right quality players. I can't see a change

Football is full of fine margins
If McGoldrick would of stayed I think we would have 4 more points
I think the defence is slightly better , The midfield about the same (not very good)
but to replace a your main threat with a guy who maybe would still be without a club (Waghorn) if we hadn't stepped up
Washington who couldn't get regular game time with previous clubs
and Collins whose positional sense is none existant and has the lack of ability to fully control a football
The only one who had somthing was maybe John Jules but a hell of a risk signing that was !!
So sadly thats the problem, plently of huff and puff and nothing up top
equals midtable nothing season

James Collins doesn't help himself
Last night a few times the ball was played into his feet in space, but he instantly plays a first time ball back to the player who gave it to him, all forward thinking is lost and back we go, the opposition get set in shape
Just hold it man and look for a ball out wide or side, or like Franny Lee did back into the defender with your backside and roll him or look for runners
I think he just needs to think more positive and get leaning on the centre half a bit more
I think Warne said last night we need to be a bit more quicker at that killer pass not always the safe ball

Warne has a lot of ideas that I like. And by that, I mean what he says. He wanted pace and athleticism, he wanted to get the ball forward, press from the front.
My issues with Warne is what he's signed and what we're doing on the pitch, is none of that whatsoever.
I don't think he has the respect of the players from what I see. I think they see him as a joke

Warnock is leaving Huddersfield. Screw it, let's do it.
I wouldnt be against Warnock
He looks the sort who would tell it how it is without joking about it and hopefully show a bit of passion on the touchlne
The job he did at Hudddersfield last season was remarkable from the position they were when he came in

I think David Clewes must have Derby County up for sale for us to progress
Everyone is grateful for his saving of the club but a club the size and potential of Derby must be attractive to someone with serious money
When you think what tinpot little clubs have attacted large investment. How someone can't see what is acheivable at Derby amazes me. everything is there, the ground , the training facilities, the fanbase
I also think we need a manager with a better pedigree, better knowledge of a higher level and contacts for us to progress

This was the Tommo I could see last year who, to me stood out anyway because he seemed to be the only one who wanted to play the ball forwards, while everyone else was locked into sideways and backwards and to the opposition. H rarely wasted the ball either. Part of his problem was that he kept being given bit-part appearances, and as with sooooo many other Derby players of potential needed a run to settle into the team, but never got it. While we were crying out for someone who could do what he does, we sent him out on loan. He may well have benefitted from the loan, but we should have loaned him to ourselves - who knows he may have been the difference between Warne succeeding or failing last season.
Actually he did the opposite last season and before. He played too much back and sideways, made our play slow and predictable, most likely because of his age he didn't want to take risks, which is understandable, but I think Warne has had a word with him as this season he seems to be on the front foot and taking more of a gamble in going forward

Yep, we need his mobility today. It's not as if we will disrupt a well drilled settled unit. Get in him from the start, could give us a lift. Nothing to lose by doing that. Rest Smith, reward Thommo. Smith back on if either tire.
Yes I hope he's involved today

Yes I expect Fleetwood to be up there, they are a really good team..............Warne
Collo had a really good game, he won two throw ins first half, Nat couldn't help being up against the best right back in the division
I tried a new system today 8 at the back with two up front, however I'm thinking we are still light in midfield. When Birdy is back in January I think we'll go on a run. Its just needs us sticking together until then ..............Warne

Paul Warne stated last season he wants to bring in peak age players between 23 to 28 in the prime
All I can see is we are stocking up with ageing players again 30plus and he only justed realised midfield is the problem when it was obvious to me after the Salford, Stoke games we have no ability to control the game in there.
Makes me laugh most were coming on here after the Stoke game saying we were going to storm the league. I was the only one who pointed out how crap we were in midfield and it looked a big problem. How the F888 cant a professional football manager see how weak in the middle we are amazes me !!

Before David Clowes bought Derby they wasn't a very attractive purchase, with lawsuits hanging over us. points deductions and relegation looking likely, no ability to buy players
Now we look a very good club to buy imo , far better gates than most and not much debt and the imbargo lifting
If I was looking to buy into a football club .Derby County would be a no brainer
