So we potentially sell Cash in exchange for signing more PW players as the ones so far have been so good? Bradley is the star defensive signing so who would the star attacking option be? No thank you very much
Totally agree, I hope my words come back to bite me but the PW signings have been totally underwhelming and with the window closing I have little confidence in him and his team pulling a rabbit out of the hat

Think a few of the lionesses wouldn’t look out of place in our starting 11

Ghostbusters Afterlife on Netflix- quite enjoyable although did have a Stranger Things feel to it. Plenty of nostalgic references to the 1984 original film. A strong 7/10

No chance we get any more permanent players unless they’re on tiny wages. Loan wise we can’t afford to pay much either. Believe the max we can offer players is around 4k a week. That’s the going rumour at the moment. I have no idea of this is the ‘business plan’ or DC being a bit stingy with budgets or if Warne has splashed out too much on wages and had struggled to work with the budgets set
If true that would suggest the businessplan DC agreed may be more draconian than we all thought or PW has signed the freebies on big wages and there is not much left in the kitty. Would also explain why the signings have dried up. Pure speculation of course. BT any whispers about outgoings?

Been thinking that Cash has not seemed to be at his best playing LCB in a 3, this set me thinking about what might be his best position.
His best games by far have been as one of two CB’s in a back 4 but for me he he lacks the height to make a top class CB and tends to struggle against the taller strikers.
He doesn’t have the pace to be a full back or wing back but has good passing ability, a great attitude and determination in abundance.
Many will disagree but I can see him playing as a CDM in front of a back four, possibly in a 4-1-4-1 (or 4-3-3) formation. He seems to read the game very well and is able to pass short or long. Could be what is needed to protect an uncertain looking defence.
Didn’t Robbie VDL and Eustace play that role and successfully too?

First of all I am not suggesting Warne is sacked after 2games. However the view seems to be that if he is sacked the club will have to pay up his and his team’s 4 year contract. Surely there must be something in his contract linked to performance that allows the club to terminate early without compensation? DC is a shrewd businessman so I would have expected there to be something in the t & cs that limits a payoff?

Any idea when they are likely to be back? Both could inject some pace and we all know Sibley is not afraid to shoot

Can understand why Warne is talking down the budget. Clubs know we need players and if they think we have cash to burn it will only inflate transfer fees. Mel boasted about how rich we were and look where that got us.

Hardly prolific…………………so sign him up

Anyone watching Blur on the red button? Pure quality

We seem to have a few out at the moment, which I hope isn’t a sign of things to come with such a small squad. Hopefully nothing too serious but slightly worrying with 3 weeks to go.

Slow day???? I do take your point though. Even a Mikel Beck type signing would be something and generate some excitement………………………although perhaps not

Saving on wages? It all helps I guess

I can get a bit anal about what is and isn’t indie music
Stone Roses, Lush, Pale Saints yes, Kaiser Chiefs, Kings of Leon, Biffy Clyro no
I know it shouldn’t matter and good music is good music irrespective of the genre

With Hourihane apparently the highest wage earner at the club at the moment over the years who was paid the highest salary? Rooney perhaps although his pay was subsidised by a betting company. Who else Ravanelli, Kinkladze, Earnie, some of the dross signed towards the backend of the Prem stay?
Expiring contracts

Fairly certain all of last years squad have contracts expiring next year so we have a massive rebuild ahead of us. How many of those players will be offered new contracts and how many would want to stay. Whilst I appreciate we are only 3 league games in I haven’t been blown away by the performances of the “PW” signings. Let’s hope Mark Thomas delivers
