  1. There seems to be something hold back Sibley from playing his natural game, when given a chance he sometimes appears to feel as though he needs to be overly aggressive which leads to yellow cards and this puts doubts into Rooney's mind, whether he can he trusted. He always appears on the edge of being easily provoked on the pitch or liable to do some thing silly.

He needs to stay calm control his emotions and show his undoubted class and skill and become the player we all know he should become.

Broadly I'd agree with you, but at times this season they were in better form than the teams around them and looked like they could get out of it (and of course they still could). A few matches ago they would have been on the same points as us and clear of the relegation zone had it not been for the deduction. I think the psychological aspect probably really kicks in when you go on a bad run and have the points deduction to cope with on top of it.

That and having an owner who continually interferes and has changed permanent managers at least three so far.

  3. With the current players we have (including the injured ones)

                               Marshall

                 Edmundson Clarke Wisdom

    Byrne-----------------------------------Buchannan

                  Beilik-----------Shinnie

                            Knight

                       Waghorn CKR

It would have been if Rab had included Huddersfield in the equation Fuck Yeah Yes GIF

Sorry for omission James but i did mean to include them but seem how in explicable missed them off.

I hope its not a bad omen and we put them 'right back' in the mix with a win against them.

  5. There is nearly half the division who could potentially be dragged into the relegation battle.

I think however the three teams who do go down will ultimately come from those who have been hovering around the bottom 6 or 7 most of season.

Looking at it logically there are 2 places to be filled as Wycombe look doomed. Wednesday's situation also looks perilous .

That leaves one last place open.

Were (Derby) in that mix along with Birmingham, Coventry, Forest, Rotherham, Luton and Bristol City who lost 5 in row and sacked their manager.

So it going to be any 2 from 8 for to join Wycombe.

I were a betting man (and I not) my monies on Wednesday and Coventry. to join Wycombe

  6. The transfer window came just at the right time for us and for once we have 'seemed' to have used it wisely.

The influx of 5 new players, more than most could of dreamed about has added depth and options to the team.

We have obtained 'young' players wanting to impress and make a name for themselves and some who are well experienced at this level.

All of this has been achieved on a 'balanced' budget with outgoings.

Rooney seems to have a plan of the 'type' of players he requires (maybe not quite the quality he would like) and the sort formations and style he would like them to play.

The hard part is getting them to do it during matches (which must be frustrating for a player of his pedigree).

  7. Give the lad a chance, he's only young yet but he has shown flash's of what he is capable of.

I just think our present 'predicament'  Rooney can't quite find a suitable role for him (at the moment).

I wouldn't write him off just yet and am sure Rooney hasn't either.

  8. £2m is awful an lot of money to gamble on someone so young to make it as 'good' class professional footballer.

At this very young age there are so many variables which are still to coming into play which will determine if the lad will actually fulfill his early promise.

He may not develop both physical or mentally for the rigors of professional football.  The person themselves may fallout of love with the game or may not be prepared to make the sacrifices necessary. Injuries may cut short any development.

I don't what percentages of kids actually make it from academies  to enjoy a long term professional football career of any length but i would not presume it is particularly high.

Taking all this into account. £2 million for 3 young 15 year old kids at this stage of their development seems a very good deal.

I would rather sell them than we be forced to sell one of our 1st team squad.

  9. These are the sort signings which distinguish the 'run of mill manager' who just buys a set type of player which fit his template.

From the one which can spot something that no-one else can at first sight.

Rooney having seen this guy close up at Everton at young age, will know more about him than probably anyone else other than the youth coaches there.

If he thinks he can make it then there's a fair chance he may well can at least at our level.

  10. I think Rooney has a template for of the type player he wants both as a character and personality wise.

This seems to count as much as ability, work rate and determination to succeed as part of a team.

These are part of 'his' makeup and are the disciplines and traits instilled into him by all the managers he work under and learn't from when he was a player himself.
