Yeah me too. I think Roberts will be the first choice.
You know within 5 minutes of watching a game whether Forsyth is going to be good or bad.
Last night he was dire.
been like that for a while for me. the odd brilliant pass or cross doesnt out weigh the poor performances.

Or maybe Bryne is he doesn't want to play for us? Don't want players around who don't want to be here.
me neither. but bryne should have just put a transfer request in

In particular to defend against the lumpball they'll play to Matt Rhead down that slope! ?♀️
Alfreton saying we will play mostly first teamers as a thank you for them helping us out recently.
I am gutted to be missing this as have just rearranged a dominoes match from the night before so we can watch England Women's cricket on Monday night.
Summertime problems!
is there a sport you dont like! ?

Whilst I'm optimistic for the coming season my only concern is whether we do learn and take on board anything from games like this. Last season we had 23 away games to learn and adapt, and final dead rubber against Blackpool aside, we failed miserably to do so and continued to slavishly follow the same tactics even when they were clearly not working.
completely agree. hopefully LR will learn and act quicker to change things. i feel this season we’ll need home tactics and away tactics.
but yeah, our away form last season was a joke
-
shame. he was good in kes
-
LR will be using these matches to find what doesnt work, just as much as what does work.
teams will sit back then press. centre midfield is key this year. get that combination right, we win. last night we didnt. i sure LR would have seen this and learned from it.
personally i think in proper matches he’d go with either biliek/bird/smith/conner with mcG in a number 10.
harsh on tommo but i feel he gets bullied to easy. still young tho. hopefully he’ll learn

shame hes gone. do we get any compo, or is it BFH?

Very good point: A contract extension, but with the wage drop which wouldn't be completely out the question then.
Nevertheless, as you say, relegation wasn't even a thought before Mel stopped paying the bills so unsure just how much mind he would've paid to it!
didnt think of the wage drop. but he still signed the contract, which in it would have stated this

No one would’ve begrudged him had he just done that, but trying to f*** a club over due to a technicality in the contract is such a scummy way to go.
Deserves all the abuse he gets, hope he rots out the rest of his career and another club try and use a technicality in order to get out of paying him his last payslip. Rat.
agree. hopefully we can hold his registration until we get a fee.
just wondering if we’ll have to carry in paying his wages or whether we can just keep fining him. same for buchanan.
i dont know how it works
-
not sure if this has been mentioned before, but surely the correct procedure is to request a transfer.
this trying to wriggle out of his contract that he was so willing to sign, looks to me like hes trying to get a bigger signing on fee and wages. as hed have saved any club that transfer fee

Striker, played as a number 9 at Man Utd youth teams, but can play wide too.
that makes sense. think we need another wide player as back up to bark and nml. would have liked Roofe but it looks like that link was bs.
if this happens possibly stretton going out on loan as he’ll get more 1st football that way?

Clearly we are all hanging on Bird and Knight but does anyone have to leave ? . If you look at the ins and outs - net - we haven’t added big numbers to the squad.
Outs so far : Plange, Festy, Ebowei, Watson, Lawrence, Allsop, Roos, Morrison, and earlier Jozwiak, Shinnie
Unknown status : Fozzy, Byrne, Buchanan, Bielik, CKR
buchanan gone to germany ??

what position does he play?

Not saying he is the best signing but young Roberts was very very good at left back yesterday. Made the position his own. Shame he's only on loan.
sure ive read on here that his contract ends after this upcoming season

looks like 3 at the back

He’s a class midfielder but surely this means someone’s leaving. His play style is probably most similar to bielik
wot u saying trav? bielik to barca?

-
keep him unless theres a bid of £5m. only one year left on his contract, but even if he runs that down, we’ll still get a fee, as hes under 23
-
is it joan collins we’re after to add abit of youth

DRobinson is a CM who has filled in at CB at times.
Richards is a winger (mostly RW) who has also filled in at AM, and possibly RB but can't remember if I'm mixing that bit up with someone else though
thanks GoC. glad ones a wide player as thats were we’re lacking imo. lets hope they make the step up

My updated guess ?
Wildsmith; Bardell, Chester, Cashin, Forsyth; DRobinson, Hourihane; Barkhuizen, Knight, Sibley; Stretton
Evans; Byrne, Stearman, Davies, WGP; Bird, Tommo; Richards, McGoldrick, Mendez-Laing; Cybulski
i know bardell and wgp are both fullbacks. but what position do robinson and richards play GoC?
