why would Warne give minutes to a promising U21 player when we can sign a 34 year old on a short term deal?Brown has hardly played and hasn't scored for Gateshead. Is he ready for Division one ? No.

Vale have offered him an 18 months contract, according to the S-o-T jungle drums.
(EDIT: that’s from my brother in Newcastle under Lyme)
Not true.

17th Jan 1981...
(3 days short of my 18th! What an horrendous thought! 😲)Reference to Bolton v Derby match postponed...
https://www.derbycountymemories.co.uk/derby-county-postponed-programmes-from-the-1980sSame date... Chesterfield 0 v Charlton 1
https://www.11v11.com/matches/chesterfield-v-charlton-athletic-17-january-1981-137802/Brownie points to @Daly duncan emery duncan for remembering the away team. (Wise of me not to argue that one! 🤣)
The result probably explains why we were welcomed in the away end throughout. I'm almost certain we would have joined in the celebrations when they scored! 🤣I was at Chesterfield on that day after the Mafaway bus was redirected. I stayed in the home end whilst others escaped to the away end. I remember the home fans trying to suss us by asking where we were from. A local tipped me off that "Staveley" was the safest answer. As an aside Charlton won 1-0 with a cracking goal from some chap named Derek Hales !! (You can still see the goal on YouTube)

A few years ago I was looking at some of my old Derby County tickets.
Apparently I have been to Preston and Fulham but I have no recollection of going to both games. I even wrote the scores on the back of the ticket.Been to Leyton Orient but the bus broke down on the outskirts of London only saw the second half.
Were you on the Mafaway bus that day ? I was and remember breaking down outside Highgate Cemetery (final resting place of Karl Marx)

I didn't know him but it felt like I did. RIP Daniel

I’m beginning to think there is no point having a membership. What seems to happen - notts County was a classic example - is that they open better blocks with better views when all the members have bought theirs
Bide you're time until they open the section you want to sit in. Hardly rocket science.

Thought George Nunn got little chance at Derby , don't understand why !
He can't get in Mickleover's first team (although they have prolific forwards including Giles Barnes' brother)

Why have we took on a player who’s injured and about to serve a 3 game ban. Not played since December, I’m not liking the sound of this. Someone give some positives about him please.
He's already served his ban whilst out injured. He was due to be on the bench for Sunderland tomorrow 🙄

Only 5 hours ago the Sunderland manager said after discussion with the player he would NOT be going out on loan.

Todays news mate so their deffo up for it. Sadly, we'll budge before they will if they meet us half way at say 1.5- 2 with an add on. If he's keen on going we won't get a better offer with time on his contract.
It's not new news. It's repeated old news. Time will tell. I hope he stays 👍

This is happening then and it won't be 3 million. Undisclosed would be my guess
Regurgitated old news. Might happen if our fee requirements are met.

If he goes, fair play to him. I will be happy for him. I hope we do get the 3+ quoted and i hope he comes back on loan. Its a win win for all involved.
It ACTUALLY says Brighton are in talks about him. NOT that Cashin has personally held talks with them. A completely different scenario.

I get all of the above.
It just feels like some are already ushering him out of the door!
I just don't particularly like going into the unknown without a seatbelt, my name's not Richard Keogh.
Rumoured he is going to Notts County (Keogh not Didzy)
