  1. Can't find an option on the website so I presume I'll have to call on Monday/Tuesday?
  2. I've posted this in its own thread, but posting here as it's relevant. Thanks people!
  3. Having moved across the Atlantic last summer after 17 years as a season ticket holder and 7 years as a regular away traveller, I'd resigned myself to the fact that the only glory I'd see us achieve in person was as a 6-year old at Wembley in 2007. I've watched from afar this year, excited to see us in with a chance of finally getting over the line, but a little sad knowing that I wouldn't be able to see it in person after so many years of following us home and away. After receiving some sad family news yesterday, I'm looking at an unexpected trip home in a few weeks' time, most likely coinciding with the Cambridge game. In normal circumstances, I'd qualify for a ticket (I'm in the 10+ band), but tickets had sold out before I knew I'd be coming home. I know this isn't the proper way of doing it, but if anyone knows of a spare ticket going, I'd be very interested. If circumstances align, I'll probably travel to Cambridge regardless, but to be in the ground for a promotion party would be a genuine dream come true. Happy to provide receipts for the above if needed. I'm not expecting to be successful, but if you don't ask, you don't get. Cheers!
  4. What constitutes not "getting away with it"? How long are we supposed to stay in the doldrums with Morris long-gone before we can have the temerity to win football games?
  5. I’m sure it works for them, but not everything translates from Europe to here though. All the mad pyro in Turkey is great, for example, but it just wouldn’t work here.
  6. I’ve never once heard an adult say they enjoy goal music.
  7. Most of the active user base will be dead by the time we’re in there!
  8. You have to credit Warne for seemingly building a great culture at the club. He’s achieved something that he talked about from day one.
  9. Facebook went to the dogs years ago tbf. I get the sense it's not a particularly important part of Meta's long-term strategy.
  10. I’ve never really joined in with it. It just sounds tinpot imo.
  11. That’s the thing, we shouldn’t clap along to it! A goal celebration should be completely natural, and not a forced attempt at singing/clapping to a crap tune. It’s the tune we sing for Conour Hourihane. If it only played when he scored, I wouldn’t mind as much.
  12. It's crap, cringey and completely unnecessary. That is all.
  13. Horrible horrible bloke
  14. Yeah I downloaded ages ago and swiftly deleted.
  15. Just an app on which you can log games you've attended, enter competitions, etc.
  16. Just our luck if he scores against England
  17. No idea why so many people are constantly miserable about England. It must be something in the national psyche. Regardless, this thread will be better off if people who don't give a toss about the national team keep those thoughts to themselves.
  18. Speaks about his time at Derby for around 10 minutes here (vid should play from the relevant section). Few things I took from it: 1) Too nice on the bald barsteward who shall not be named (not @David), and failed to mention that our spending that summer was what tipped us to near-oblivion 2) While the permanent signings were largely poor value, the loan signings were well-targeted recruitment that deserve credit 3) He did genuinely care about the club 4) Beating Bielsa tactically in the second leg understandably boosted his confidence going into the summer (even if it was misplaced) 5) He wasn't actually hugely bothered about Spygate, and just put up a bit of a front for the club
  19. It’s absolutely fair to criticise an experienced head for getting an avoidable suspension, in the middle of a crucial promotion run-in with minimal cover. I suppose where the line is drawn between what’s fair criticism and what’s a sanctimonious pile on is subjective.
  20. Difference being, Lawrence was never brought in to be an experienced leader. Doesn't excuse what Lawrence did, but Bradley was supposed to be better than this.
  21. Yeah, if he's that way inclined he may be tempted to quadruple his money and sit on the bench (or worse) for a Prem team. He may have seen Scott Carson having the time of his life and wants a piece!
