Interesting point from peakfan on his blog, all the players that have come through the academy system have disappeared from the team and the worst performance in a while was served up.
Sussex are the prime example of being at the bottom and building (and sticking with) young players. Both Sussex and Leicestershire have surpassed us and look far better teams since Mickey Arthur took over.
Almost seems like all the eggs are in the T20 basket, in which case qualifying for the knockout stages becomes a minimum requirement.

It's a pitch and conditions that Derbyshire should be able to come out and bat for a long time and put 500 on the board… Whether they can or not is another matter.

Agree, but Thompson gives us a slightly longer tail. It looks like Sussex will have better batting conditions than us, weather wise.

Team as expected. Possibly the strongest 11 we've put out so far, depending on how Morley bowls.

I reckon any team that can find a way to win 3 games could be on for promotion.
