Football matches last the best part of 100 minutes. Our goals combined took about 8 seconds to score.

It isn’t weird of fans to focus on the other 99 minutes of the match otherwise why not just switch on the highlights an hour after it’s finished?

It’s frankly ridiculous to suggest they were doing pointless passes.

They were getting it through the lines well but didn’t have the quality to do anything with it.

Remember the difference in the first half is Max Bird wonderfully dribbling past 4 players before pinging it in from 20 yards. They crafted a well worked opportunity for a shot from 20 yards out and it came back off the post.

I enjoyed the win but to say Exeter weren’t playing good football is just disingenuous. With better players that type of performance gives us a hell of a lot of problems. Luckily for us we have better players as you’d expect with our budget.

On the crowd noise, we were split into three sections, seated (yes 😲) on the side beneath the radio Derby commentary, then two separate standing areas behind the goal, one set slightly in front of the other.
Hence there were different chants starting in each section and not necessarily being picked up by the other areas.
There was plenty of noise but it was a bit chaotic.

Oi, I definitely said maybe one thing one time about it!
I agree, last night there was a real determination amongst the team, one shot they had came from a similar situation/area of the pitch down the right hand side to the equaliser on Saturday, it was dealt with then Hourihane and Elder went nuts. Lots of organisation, talking, supporting one another, doubling up, covering, tackling, blocking, it was great to watch.

3 massive well earned points, celebrations in the pub after the game well into the night, a full English breakfast and just setting out for the long trip back to Derby , well done to the players, management and every single one of our wonderful fans who made this trip and supported the lads , we all gave everything for our club and it is this level of support that makes away days so special , keep it up everyone , Derby County are on the way back

Some of our defending last night was very impressive and should be appreciated in the same way as good offensive moves. Sadly, it seldom is.

    Wrong.
Other factors like the experience they've gained from careers played at higher levels, the current quality of opposition they're up against and the standing of their current team within it, the quality (and type) of teammate too because one season you could be playing alongside a greedy b****** who gives you no supply, the next a selfless player.  You can throw in popularity with fans as well, and personal circumstances away from football make a difference too.
It's not a fair crack at the whip you want him to be given though, it's for him to be given all the credit for his grandmother's ability to suck eggs.
Nowhere did I say that Warne isn't a contributing factor, but attributing the reason for them having their best directly to Warne is just daft.
Nothing I've posted is unfair on Warne, it's just an assessment based on what I see while holding him to the standards set by his billing, his comments and our aims and objectives.

Excellent result. Congrats to the manager and players. There is a bit of a top three breakaway - we're still significantly behind when you look at Bolton's games in hand, but if we can catch the other two our goal difference might even end up as a telling factor. Fourteen games to go, at least ten more wins needed. Come on you Rams!

Don't they say if you win your away games and draw your home games you've got a great chance of going up? 🤔

What because I didn’t feel we played great first half and it’s a forum for opinions. A lot better second half but wanted a bit more to our play first half and also the comment about the painting was meant to be tongue in cheek to liven my post up didn’t know we had to all post the same content. I’ll let you proof read my post next time if okay?

So very frustrating to let that lead slip at the weekend and be 2 wins behind Pompey! Need to start making these opportunities pay.

Good managers get the most out of their players. Warne does not.
That is why Warnock can keep poor teams up, but Warne can’t.
That isn’t a Michael Owen comment.

For me go with a 433 formation, our wingbacks did nothing yestetday, and go with 2 widemen
                      Wildsmith
    Nyambe.    Nelson.     Cashin.  Elder
                          Adams
                    Bird.               Hourihane
    CBT.               Collins.       NML.
This team will bring the 3points home.
All those who are going roar us onto victory, great following, hope you all have a great away day.

I’m glad Warne owned up to the error in selection. In fact, his interview was all I hoped it would be.
We need to get back to a proper four man defence with Nyambe, Nelson, Cashin and Elder.
Bird, Adams and god knows who in midfield (Sibley again?)
NML, Collins and if he’s any good, CBT up front. And let’s have a go! We were so timid yesterday until it was too late.

I was thinking of doing the same so that I miss the first half given how generally grim they have been at PP.

I like Paul Warne and am desperate for him to succeed at DCFC. I like his style, his honesty and feel he has integrity and moral compass. However, serious questions to be asked following yesterdays performance which was too similar to previous performances:
    - why is there such a lack of creativity in our play when he has had such a long time with this squad?
    - why do we not impose ourselves on weaker opposition, especially at home?
    - why does it take us to concede a goal in order for us to display energy and desire?
    - why do we never have any runners beyond Collins, when our tactic is so often hitting the ball directly towards him in the air? Seriously, what are we achieving with this tactic without runners around or beyond him?
    - why do players not appear more motivated when you consider our position and the opportunity we have, especially in the earlier parts of each game when we are far too passive?
My opinion is that if he and the coaching team can resolve the 5 questions above, we can and will make the automatic positions. If we continue not to, then the best we can hope for is a play off lottery, and I wouldn’t fancy our chances over two legs against anybody if the issues have still not been resolved. Quality coaching and leadership now required for the remainder of the season. 🐏
