A fully deserved 3 points, if a bit lucky with some questionable decisions by the officials. I thought that all of the contentious decisions were wrong from my viewpoint in the Lower East.
Having said that, Hourihane and Sibley's yellows were fully justified, but their players got away with many similar fouls. Maybe the sending off was harsh, but a couple of their other players should have easily seen red.
Justice served on a team, who only came to spoil and foul their way to a point.

Very happy with result & pretty happy with performance. Tore into them early on & were by far the better side throughout...thought tempo was good & caused them problems both wide & through the middle. Main gripes were a) conceding from their first effort on target & b) continued inability to keep the ball/slow the tempo late on which gave them ascendancy they didnt deserve. Thought Adams was excellent & another strong display from Barkhuizen. He absolutely rinsed their left back with about 15 mins left for a chance that Waggy missed & unusually for TB, stayed on for full 90+ mins. Coming into form at just the right time.
Had to laugh at the plastic away fans for whingeing the ref was biased against them. They got exactly what they deserved for their anti-football & penalty was beyond dispute. And singing 'f*** the EFL'  after the constant soft treatment they've had from that repulsive organisation compared to us is proper spoilt brat behaviour. They are an odious little club who hopefully will disappear to League Two to keep fellow plastics MK Franchise company.
Best atmosphere for a midweek game I can remember for a long time. It does make a difference. Bring on Bolton 💪

TBF he sought out the fan it hit and apologised and they shook hands.
Just frustrated,  perfectly understandable. 

A few have mentioned that Reading got exactly what they deserved, nothing. Never mind the red card and the penalty, without either it’s quite likely we would have scored again anyway, there was a long time left in the game.
Also, when they foul like they do a red card is always a risk. And we had the ball in their penalty area much more, so again a penalty to us was always possible if you give the ref a decision to make. Their keeper “did a Wildsmith” and refs do give those it seems, we’ve had at least two given against us this season.
A fully deserved 3 points and we move on. A point for Reading would have been a steal.

We may have had the rub of the green but only one team deserved to win that game. 5-1 wouldn’t have flattered us. One of the best home performances this season and that is now 3 wins in a row but importantly 3 back to back high level performances right at the business end of the season when we need it. Playing like this, even if it ends up being the playoffs we’ll beat anyone. 
Huge game on Saturday but regardless of their 5-0 win tonight, I’m not worried if we play like that.

Endeavour.  Determination.  Hints of proper football.  Team spirit.  Entertainment.  Red Card.  Peno.  3 points.  great atmos.  Nerves.  13 added minutes for that value for money effect.  Baffling in-game drinks break.  (Only now understood, having caught up on this thread).

We seem to be playing so much quicker than previously, it’s really good to watch comparitvely. The attacking wing backs genuinely help going forwards, we have a lot more creative players on the pitch.
Adams been a great signing, Gayle too. Ward is like a new signing and barkhuizen been excellent last three games.

Well a bizzare game for a seasoned derby fan , we played well and controlled the game but strangely made hard work of getting the 3 points and a poor ref again but poor decisions went in our favour ,,, yep strange night 🤷🏻‍♂️,
three points and we are starting to look like a side , real variety of play going forward , players coming back from injury to give us a strong looking squad , win every game of the 8 and no one can touch us , it’s that simple , big ask but this squad look capable of doing that , of course that’s probably not how the next 8 games pan out but we are right in there looking every bit as good as those around us , we are not the poor imitation of our promotion rivals as some would have us believe

That could have been a real banana skin game, but Derby navigated that brilliantly. Two great halves of football, lots of chances created and on another day that could have been comfortable. Still we did enough and deserved to win.
Props to Barkhuizen, I have criticised him in the past but he worked himself into the ground. My man of the match.
Gayle is such a clever striker. Great addition. 
Finally, Adams' calm in midfield was huge for us at key moments, another top performance from him. 

Dim play by Derby when they had the man advantage. Lost possession again and again.
An ugly win but an important one with everyone else winning.
They will need to be 20% better on Saturday against a Bolton side that will be brimming with confidence.

No goal conceded, assuming it was a response to Waghorn being denied from 6 yards out following another class bit of play from the Preston Pele

Top save that, unlucky Waggy.

The referee’s performance is reminiscent of a classic Howard Webb game at Old Trafford.
That said, Derby have played some decent stuff tonight. Gayle upfront and Barks in a free role adds far more fluidity to our play.
We have been unlucky with injuries this season. But the forced signings of Nyambe and Gayle has made us stronger.
