  1. Lol. All them wide crosses in the second half were having no success at all. So what do we do different. Nothing, other than increase the number of loads in from the wings. Paul Warne is the General Haig of EFL Division One.
  2. An old link, but https://www.lonelyplanet.com/articles/planning-visit-cinque-terre Let us know if you do go 🍻🐑
  3. Posted for balance. Labour divisions deepen over Gaza ceasefire stance Sir Keir Starmer is attempting to put Labour's position on the Israel-Hamas conflict to a vote, in a bid to maintain party unity. The party has tabled a Commons amendment reflecting concerns over the civilian death toll, and urging longer pauses in the fighting to deliver aid. But it echoes the Labour leader's position, and stops short of urging an immediate ceasefire in the conflict. Dozens of Labour MPs have defied their leader to call for a ceasefire. And 19 members of the frontbench have also publicly diverged from their party's official position. One of them, shadow minister Imran Hussain, quit his position last week in order to campaign for an immediate ceasefire. In addition, nearly 50 councillors have resigned from the party, over the leadership's position on the war. Sir Keir has argued that a ceasefire would not be appropriate, because it would freeze the conflict and embolden Hamas.
  4. As much as I enjoyed this last post I see that the last 3 pages of this thread have become political. Sort it out Mods, even if it hurts a little to come down on the anti-Tory rhetoric.
  5. A good captain on the field is hugely important. This is not hindsight as I said it at the time; it was weak of Warne not to pick his leader on the field. My guess is that he invested heavily in Bradley as his leader, but soon realised he wasn’t the playing force he thought he was (duff purchase). He clearly didn’t fancy Bird or thought he was going, but didn’t in my opinion want to demote him. So he abdicated responsibility and accountability to the players. I can see why the players picked Hourihane, as there were limited options. However, I am not convinced Hourihane is sold on Warne’s way of playing, so that is far from ideal too. Dog’s breakfast really, which is very disappointing.
  6. Didn’t see the game. Really unsure though why a couple of youngsters were not started tonight. Freshen it up a bit - give a few players a bit more experience, give a few players a rest after Saturday. That Fapetu was the only one to get on the pitch, for the last 10 minutes, is very disappointing. To bring Bradley on also seems criminal to me. At 3-1 down, in fact early in the second half, wasn’t Weston worth an another try upfront alongside Collins? I can’t lose any sleep us going out of the Cup tonight, but I had hoped for something out of tonight. A plus point or two, after two successive leagues wins. Pretty deflating being a Ram at the moment.
  7. Enjoy the game and commemoration Claire. I shouldn’t worry about keeping his seat warm though He rarely sat on it 🐏. Condolences to all your family. We share your love and pain.
  8. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67402754 Rotherham United sack manager with club 22nd in Championship.
  9. I still, and probably always will, struggle with Warne. I am of course pleased we have had two good league wins in a row, and that we are now on the edge of the playoffs, but it has been a disjointed affair season to date. Hopefully we will continue to gain ground on Pompey and Oxford as we reach the turn of the year, playing football which involves our midfield rather than hitting it hopefully down the channels. Neither of those teams have better squads than ours imho and I am frustrated that we are some distance behind them. Anything less than automatic promotion will be a failure this season (given the strength of the league) and I am concerned whether we might be able to hold onto Cashin and Bird in January. Victories against the Gas and Vale would be wonderful. COYR!!
  10. Such tragic news. Stand tall, and pain free, in afterlife. You Ram.
  11. Also saw Geese a few weeks back. Another band well worth seeing when they are next on these shores.
  12. Saw Public Service Broadcasting and Django Django over the weekend - two extremely talented bands, at the top of their game. Up and coming bands seen recently include Do Nothing, Life, Legss, Just Mustard, English Teacher, L’Objectif, Bar Italia, Cucumaras and (tonight) Egyptian Blue. Post-punk and indie is alive and kicking.
  13. Not a swingers thread then?
  14. If most of Crewe’s players on Sunday came through their youth ranks you could understand a ‘backs to the wall’ mentality.
  15. He will make life easier for himself by stringing a few successive victories together. When was the last time we won 2 league games on the bounce? March perhaps? I still feel like he doesn’t have any tactical know how. We really need to be giving Barnsley a good game next Saturday.
  16. No away membership, no season ticket. Half fan!
  17. I understand that when the football isn’t pretty, and the league position is dire, football fans will inevitably lash out. However, I am amazed that there are a good number on here tonight slating our owner. This is a staggering state of affairs even for our club, only some 15 months since he saved us. Cool it down lads.
