Not saying lower emissions cars are better for the environment than bikes, just saying cars with this technology are better than without.

I've got one. Not annoying, barely noticeable. They reckon it saves between 3-10% in fuel consumption. Cheaper road tax. Also better for environment due to lower emissions

Mobility scooters i suppose they are 'designed' to allow fat people who cant be arsed to walk far get about so i sort of get it but as you say they should be going slow.

How many actually need them though? There is a guy who used to go in a pub i went to who turned up on a mobility scooter....limped slowly inside, sank a few beers...then was dancing like a young john travolta by 10pm.
