  1. Can supporters make a claim for stress against the EFL and Middlesbrough FC?

Surely we all have grounds for a claim for the stress this is causing us.

On average a payout for stress may range between £39,000 to £83,000.

If we take the middle figure, that would be £61,000 each.

If 30 thousand of us claim the total would be over £1.8 billion.

Us supporters could buy Derby and have money left over.

It would also bankrupt Middlesbrough and maybe even the EFL.

Maybe we could take class action claim.

My blood pressure has gone up to dangerous levels and the only stress I have is what is going on with Derby. I am sure it must be effecting the health of thousands of Derby supporters.
Do we have any legal experts here that could tell us if this is possible.

Sounds very reasonable. Except there are more than 30,000 of us . So make it a £3billion claim, then we will have enough to outbid Ashley.

I suspect if Middlesbrough and the EFL were bombarded with claims for stress, they would drop their claims and everything would be sorted very quickly.

  4. If Mike Ashley takes over Steve Gibson would be sensible to drop all claims and I suspect he knows it and it is why the EFL is trying to get it paid first.
Mike Ashley took my business down and hundreds of others that were in the same line of business. I won't say what the product was or the brand.
What happened was we were selling a product that meant we made 90% of our money in the lead up to Xmas. Sports Direct also sold the product and started to cut the price, myself and many others matched their cut. The result was the next year Sports Direct bought up every available product so the manufacturer had none for any other customer. They also sold the products for less than they paid for them so killed off all the competition.
When I first heard he was in the bidding for Derby I wanted anyone but Mike Ashley to buy Derby because of what he did to me in the past. However with what has happened in the last week I know hope he becomes the owner and does to Steve Gibson what he did to me. He seems to me like he will take down anyone that stands in his way which is just the type of person Derby needs.

I was at that game mate. I remember the Derby fans singing about Flecks wife, then Shilton tapping the side of his head at the Norwich fans when they started their own version of She’s here she’s there……..

Didnt it finish 1-0 to Norwich??

Can't remember the score. What I remember about Fleck was throwing him out of my taxi one night. Picked him and two other players up one night and they asked to stop at a Kebab shop, I said OK but you are not eating it in my car. As soon as we pulled away I noticed him eating his Kebab, I told him to stop or get out. A few words were exchanged and I stopped the car and went round to his door and pulled him out. The other players all got out and I left them there.

  6. Back in the days when Shilton played for us. We played Norwich away and Norwich fans were singing about his wife. At the time I was a taxi driver in Norwich and would often pick up the players from night clubs. I also used to pick up a girl that looked like a model who spent a lot of time with different players. So when Norwich fans started on Shilton I quickly spread it around the Derby fans about this girl Sonia. Within 10 minutes Derby supporters started to Chant "We bet you've all been through Sonia" almost every Norwich player stopped for a second and looked towards the Derby fans as if they were thinking how the hell do Derby fans know about her.

  7. Really enjoyed the preseason matches and would love to signup but can't afford £110. In the Philippines that is a hell of a lot of money, most people here don't earn that in a month.

Shame it can not have a different price to match salaries in each country.

  8. The piece of Baseball ground turf that was in my mothers garden until 4 years ago.

I ripped it up on the last match of the 74/74 season against Carlisle. Lovingly carried it in my arms as I hitchhiked home to Norfolk, a big thanks to the drivers that gave me a lift and allowed me to drop Baseball ground dirt in their cars.

For a few years I watered it and tended to it in a pot, on leaving home my father dug part of his lawn out and planted it in there. Where it stayed until 4 years ago, when it was dug up because my father was ill and my mother to old to look after the lawn.
