You talked about someone with Autism though?  If I lived next door to someone who I knew suffered with loud bangs I wouldn’t be letting off loud fireworks.  But unfortunately someone who lived let’s say at the other end of the garden wouldn’t possibly know that the person next door was having a meltdown about it so can’t really be blamed.

My neighbour has had a young Alsatian this year, and when the fireworks started the other week they took it outside and played ball with it to get it used to the noise.

So you want to ban fireworks to just one night, that’s fine, but then you’ll want to ban fireworks all together, it’ll never happen.

If I had a neighbour who played loud music from October to Jan from 5pm until midnight id more than likely report it to the council and let them sort it, or the police.  A bit like when someone reported my neighbour for having a bonfire during the day, a council person came straight out.

Trouble is, I doubt you know who to complain about when you’re on an estate etc.  If it was your neighbour letting of bangers I’d assume you’d have a word?

Im only trolling the fact that some people never moan until they get a dog.  It’s a bit like going to the footie and only moaning about the bad language when you take your kids with you.

Well said Boysie, itll never happen, how many million people around our world would stop using fireworks at Divali, come on David.

Just thought I would get in here early for my annual request that all fireworks are banned.

Soon as the clocks go back, the anti social folk will be out in their gardens setting these things off as they complain the following morning about the cost of living.

Maybe don’t waste your money on being anti social this year, just an idea.

    Spoilsport,what you never,ever lit a firework.

I had family members who worked at Hayley and Weller in Draycott Derbyshire, Fireworks were always free ?

One night we had a bonfire party and they brought some firework bombs that you bury in the ground, Well we buried them in the ground there were 3, Lit the fuse and stood back, The 1st one went off as should and flew into the sky...then there was a nuclear explosion of a sound I'd never heard, Loud enough to burst our eardrums, We ran inside as we knew there were 2 more on there way, WOW! ? the amount of buildings that shook ?

The family member said they were army issue as they had a contract from the M O D ?

    Booom !

Poor performance, Plymouth the better team in both halves. 2 up at half time we should have had enough to win the game but 2nd half was even worse. At least LR acknowledged this post match.

Bird still disappointing for me, having little impact on the games. Hourihane loses his legs after 60mins too so 2nd half our midfield vanishes. Last week we had Smith to bring on, today we only had Thompson who I still fail to see what he offers.

LR got his subs all wrong too, no issue with McG & Barkhuizen off but bring Dobbin & Sibley on, let Dobbin run into the space behind their high line & make them drop back abit to help relieve the pressure. Bringing Thompson on just meant we sat back even more, the number of times he & Bird got in each others way was laughable too, one lead to the 2nd goal. Our long outball to Fozzy stopped 2nd half & his legs had gone too, why not bring Roberts on in the last set of subs.

Got to give Plymouth alot of credit, we didnt get beat by a hoofball team, they simply out played and out ran us. Their manager went for it with his subs. Also, well done to their fans who travelled all this way, got what they deserved. Brought more than Peterborough & Barnsley did too.

Lastly, a few positives...McGoldrick getting more minutes & showed his class, when he is fit to play a full 90 we will be so much better. A brilliant individual goal for NML & its great Collins got his 1st goal.

    Onto the next game!

Agree with all your comments, think that Rosenior takes a lot of the blame for todays defeat !

    Just watching back the highlights

He's going to demolish that league if he stays fit,  such a complete player and athlete. To be that bug and strong, but then accelerate over 5 yards, its terrifying how good he looks.

Imagine him with us in league one

Whats the point, its never going to happen.

Not going to lie, I felt quite emotional when the pitch announcer did his bit in the centre circle - you could tell he meant every word and it brought it home just how close we came to never being at a match again.

As for the game I thought we were way the more skillful side, I was struck how much more physical it was and also how much the ref let go. All in all we were good value for the win.

Oh, and Karl Robinson is a right mardy sod...

A right mardy sod and a banker to boot

    BBC overstaffing.

Using an outside reporter to introduce a report by someone else. Andy Swiss travels the world but only talks for about 20 seconds at a time. What's wrong with the army of commentators also out there? Same with news reports.

At the Lioness game there were at least 9 women involved not including the commentators, all of them quite screechy. Pre-match, half time pundits and post match waffle. Muted them till match started.

yes. If you get the benefits you should from a holiday. Holidays are for mental and physical resets and to some of us are vital to our mental health.

The whole world is subject to fear-mongering trying to force you into or out-of doing something. That's a conversation for the politics thread, but if you live your life in fear or not trying anything cos of a bit of a challenge, what's the point in life?

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but there have always been fires, floods, and disease. Whilst cancellations have increased, they're not unheard of either.

I did read all of it thanks ?

It doesn't alter the fact that in 2016 extra checks and only 3/7 French booths available led to delays, whereas a few days ago extra checks and 4/7 French booths available also led to delays.

Apparently things are more or less back to normal now.  Lets see what next weekend brings...  Ultimately, its in no ones interest to have excessive queues at the border, problems such as this will get resolved over time.

  10. We are surrounded by forest fires and yesterday we were told to evacuate our home on Alhaurine Golf, back home now having been told it was safe to do so,but yesterday it was big,big,big,3300 people have been evacuated from Alhaurine el Grande and El Torre, estimate forrest destroyed at 5000 hectares.Helicopters are taking water from the lakes on our golf course, every 6 minuites one drops its bucket, and yesterday we went to my partners rented villa overlooking the mediteranean, where we could see those big yellow fire planes scooping sea water.I think they are using fire retardant chemical now.

So all in all a day of fear, but nice to be home with my computer on seeing that we won our second friendly.

Hope you all in Derbyshire keep cool,Up the Rams

  11. I have never been to a cricket match and have no intention of attending now,but saw this week a price for a family of 4 going to watch the test match,500 pounds, not to sure if that was per day or to watch for the week.

Who can afford that when they could watch it on the box
