  1. I have never been to a cricket match and have no intention of attending now,but saw this week a price for a family of 4 going to watch the test match,500 pounds, not to sure if that was per day or to watch for the week.

Who can afford that when they could watch it on the box

French Sports Minister claimed today that btween 30,000 and 40,000 Liverpool fans turned up without a valid ticket, does this mean forged tickets,if so the true fans who had valid tickets but still couldnt gain entry to the Stad de France have only their fellow scousers to blaim

He also said that Real Madrid had no problems with their fans, who in general were well behaved.

Still not sure whether VAR was used today and if it was, who was making the decisions? I’m sure there was two clear cut penalties. All I can say is if Derby played Huddersfield then Huddersfield would have had a penalty.

Agree Entirely, there was two clear cut penalties to the Terriers, something should be done,so it never ever happens again in a game as important as this.!!!

That's part of the problem, of course.

Billy Sharp spends whole games winding up crowds. Any coincidence he was the one assaulted? ?

Some fans are arses, some players are arses.

Billy Sharp got his cumuppance, agree exactly what you are saying Angie,

The football clubs pay players wages and employ players,so if they hear of their own players winding up fans clubs should take some kind of action,a big fine given to charity or ban them from playing for 3 months with no wages paid. Some of these players on megamoney contracts are getting to big for their boots

Whereabouts in the Loire? We’ve been there a few times.

We’re driving (as in I’m doing all the driving) to a site in the Dordogne in 5 weeks. We’re not resort people and can’t even be doing with hotels. Our first overseas holiday since Covid, my mum passing away and my wife’s cancer diagnosis. I think we deserve one.

Although this year was supposed to be a "big" Mexico holiday to celebrate our 10th anniversary, Cyprus was always somewhere we wanted to go. Me because I'd previously had 2 lovely holidays there and Mrs Wolfie because she was stationed there for 2 years in the army.

I don't know whether it's what normally happens or I was just lucky but I remember the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen were in Cyprus. On both of my previous visits IIRC.

Same as Cleethorpes then…..and for good reason.

Who would miss the crowds of yorkys with their knotted hankies on their heads, spot them a mile off,and the donkies on the beach, smelly animals,no thank you David, will leave it all for you

  7. I invest in stocks and shares, but only money I can afford to lose, used to think that I could beat the bookies, stupid me,always losing so switched to the stock market, invest a fixed amount monthly, and although down maybe 8% always confident prices will go up.

Buying Duke Royalty at the mo,they are a company that make loans to businesses, and then take a share of that business profits. They pay a dividend 4 times a year which I reinvest.Another share is Tesco, people have to eat.

    Good luck however you invest.

CK's plane was spotted and Cooke's contacts are in the east. Now, you could fly to Kansas in an easterly direction but it would take a bit longer.

Would you like to fly to Kansas in an Easterly direction, thought that Russia airspace was closed to Americans

Some one replied to you to watch gardeners world,on BBC 2 on a friday night, very good advice, the presenter Monty Don gives very good advice, anbd as the person who recomended it to you was also right in that they show videos of other small gardens,on one of these videos they showed a moisture meter which when put into a plant pot,or garden gives you a reading telling if to water or not.

If you go to a good garden centre any of the staff will be able to advice.

Good luck, you will soon be "a green fingerred gardenner"
