I can remember that season, and know that the Bald Eagle had talked with Emmanuel Petit and David Ginola! What a team that would have been - we'd haave plyed everybody like the last 20 minutes of that Southampton game! But we didn't have the pennies!

Mac leaving did not help but good shout on that 4-0 result. Another one was 4-1 v Forest in 79 when they were Euro holders. For some reason Match of the Day had the highlights and it was not part of the matches advertised as being covered (just 2 in those days).

  2. Including just live games I have seen Leeds away in playoff semi 2nd leg without a doubt. How we came back and the Marriott winner.

Special mention to a league game. WBA were riding high and we stuffed then 4-1 at their place in same season. I expected the reverse!

  3. If you are in a shunt what's to say the batteries have not been compromised.

Batteries are proving to be outlasting the rest of the car with very few failures being revealed.

Every EV comes with an 8 warranty at the very least but they are expected to last much, much longer than that.

Do you have links regarding the first part? Just need education on the batteries used in cars. Every one I've used in many devices does not last years with the same power after many recharge cycles. Is it true an ev could be written off even if an accident is "slight" due to the unknown state of batteries?

Just seen that Brighton failed to score against Bournemouth in their loss today, meaning that this is their goal of the month, on account of it being the only one "they" scored:

Not sure why they have such a drop in form. A shame as they always take decent away support and the ones I know wished us all the best. A good bunch of fans.

But yay, we got the decision 'right' ... well possibly.. or possibly not.. assuming the line drawing is infallible which based on the pics of the Cov vs United line-drawing seems not to be. I think that fundamentally VAR delivers accuracy in the tens of centimetres at best but the modern game is asking for for decisions to be made to centimetre accuracy and I'm just not convinced that VAR can deliver that.

I feel that if an instant 'that was an incorrect decision' can't be made then it should just stand and we move on. VAR officials are getting a lot of stick but they are being asked to do brain surgery in boxing gloves. It just isn't fit for purpose for a lot of these incredibly tight decisions. We can draw two lines for an offside and once that's done we can tell you 100% whether the blue line is nearer the goal than the red line as we have drawn them, but what if we simply can't assign that level of confidence with the drawing of those lines ?

I see where you are coming from....line drawing on a screen is not football.

If that's what we're working to, football is dead. VAR has to go. I'm not sure I could stand the Prem any more.

Wonder how many other potential "classic" games are going to be ruined. The use is bad enough but having fans cheer a goal then having to wait minutes for it to be confirmed is killing the game. That Cov v Man U was destined to be remembered as one of the greats. Now just a footnote as another Man U win.

Manufacturers will likely switch to making EVs even without government mandates. It’s just where the market is heading. It's kind of wild to think about how fast things are changing and how much different the car scene will be in just a few years. If you're still on the fence about traditional engines vs. electric, there's a useful article on diesel and gasoline engines that might help you weigh your options: https://www.a1autotransport.com/diesel-vs-gasoline-engines/. Breaks down some of the key differences between the two, which could be handy when you're deciding what kind of vehicle is right for you.

For me it's not the engines but the batteries. After a few years of use the life left is still an unknown and unclear how long would be left before expensive replacements are needed. It's that unknown which puts me off.

I never watched World in Action or Weekend World...just liked the theme! I found the images during the World in Action opening credits quite scary being a kid wondering "was the world really like that away from our street?".
