    But why?
He was interim manager, not permanent manager.
If an interim manager is still in place halfway through the season, it kind of makes a mockery of the role.
Everyone would want some clarity and certainty by that point.
The timing could very well be fine, because we don’t have a game for 9-10 days, so Warne has some time to settle in.

And I'd like to think that another big proportion of the people liking it is because they know the story and recognise and are proud of the fact that Britain has in our recent history been a welcoming destination to many people from around the world that has turned us into the vibrant and diverse population we now are.
That doesn't right the wrongs of  earlier (and most lately) behaviours but it is an ideal many of us still believe in.

Some posters had seen enough after we failed to breakdown a stubborn Shrewsbury defence in our 4th game. Think it was still mid-August.

Lovely stuff reading back through a matchday thread when we were losing, but ended up winning. The impatience of people is laughable at times.
Thank god we won. It's saved us from an international break of whining.

Lets be honest, its about as creative and relevant as us singing about Collymore 21 years after he retired.

Mates with Dave Milton from the Blue Note back in the late seventies.
R E Cords, Hector, Cleos, jumpers for goal posts………..happy days?
……..is it the same Blue Note? ?

I think some of our fans are going to be shocked by league one, there’s no guarantees we will steamroller anything, lessons will need to learned all round.
Hopefully most fans can enjoy it though, whatever the outcome.

I suspect that somehow that Boro fans will be encouraged to get behind their team for this one. They're doing well on the pitch and I reckon the attitude will be to rise above any beef with DCFC. And, the police will nick anyone for the slightest, just to remove them fom the occasion. There will be lots of crap sung from both ends. I might be old fashioned but it'd be great to hear Derby get behind the team in a positive way. If Boro want to indulge in "party" songs then that really is a problem of their own inadequacies and let's not let it bother us. If we worry about Mr Gibson, just leave it, it'll al come out in the wash anyway. Be up for it and don't let the bustards get you down/wind you up.

londonbridgeram got a reaction from Ellafella in Baseball Ground Memories
Great thread and well done EllaFella for starting it. My Baseball Ground experience started in 1967 (Millwall 3-3) although my memory of that day is pretty much gone (have to dig the programme out for a refresher). But general memories of the BBG then and in the 70s are just of tremendous excitement and anticipation (and yes it did involve the prospect of running into the away fans and what might ensue). I don't think I appreciated at the time what I was seeing on the pitch, too young maybe to take in that something really great and memorable and history-making was taking place. When they first spoke or relocating I, like a lot of people I guess, was very much against it, thinking somehow we could redevelop the BBG. But of course that idea was just silly and we moved on.
Someone has mentioned the 1976 semi-final and that, along withe the Leicester play-off, has always been very hard to take. Still not over 1976 when we got a kicking on and off the pitch. Great memories though and looking forward to Brentford tomorrow. COYR!
