That's true. I believed what he said, but just like when Rowett came in, he talks the talk but... I've had a year of watching him do his best to bypass midfield, a midfield that had Knight and Bird and Hourihane. He's still doing it. The standard of passing is poor even for League 1. It's nothing to do with injuries that players can't pass to a team-mate is it?

So we have good players, why is the football so poor?

For me to change my mind, I want to start seeing performances. I want us to start blowing league 1 teams away. We seem to win despite our performance at the minute. 
Also, January recruitment needs to be much more improved. We have signed 2 lads off the back of injuries who are both, suprise suprise, injured.
A run of wins would nice.
 

Yeah he has and I don’t think that’s a coincidence - I think he’s been unlucky with some but he admitted himself that some were down to the conditioning. 
 
Honestly if we saw the football he spoke about it wouldn’t be my cup of tea but I could get behind it. I’m just at a point where I think he’s had a year with half the squad plus a full summer with the rest of the squad to get his ideas across. And let’s be brutal here - it’s hardly the ‘Guardiola inverted full backs creating a box in the centre’ type of idea is it? It’s the press and win the ball back quickly and get the ball forward quickly with purpose. He should have them singing from that hymn sheet by now. 
 
You’re absolutely right we do but for a successful team the grinding results out should be the exception. It hasn’t felt like that for a long time now. Our players are better than what we are seeing. Not enough is being squeezed out of the talent available. 
 
On paper Carlisle have a side that is way weaker than ours (moxon and that number 7 aside I don’t think any would get in our first 20) yet they still pinged it around with more confidence than us. Simpson was getting more out of his players than we are getting out of ours currently and I know that ultimately they were beat 2-0 but we are a big side in this division and he’s seen his team (who would probably snap your hand off for 20th position right now) go down 2-0 whilst hitting the woodwork twice, having more shots, more shots on target, more corners and more of the ball. 

How lovely. Name one "repetitive little happy clapper who thinks good football is being served up by Warne". There isnt one. The only repetitive posters are those who will never say anything positive whatever PW's team does and say the same thing on just about every page of every thread. We could beat Man City 4-0 away in the FACup but they would say "its not their first team" or "its only the cup".
But there are those who have perhaps more realism regarding the position we are in and are bored rigid with the anti-PW constant negativity whatever the thread subject is supposed to be from certain posters. Everyone has the right to be boring and tedious as that is what the forum is for- for fans to say what they want, within reason. 
I am not a happy clapper who thinks we can use admin as an excuse forever, I dont enjoy the football most of the time, I dont think PW is really a good fit at Derby and I think we could probably do better with someone else with these players at the moment BUT whilst he is the manager I will get behind him and the team, trudge across to all home matches, be deafened by the PA system, and enjoy a bit of a mutter on here.  That doesnt make me a repetitive little happy clapper who thinks good football is being served up. 

The score certainly doesn't reflect the performance. Don't let this game lull you into a false sense of security. Any other team would of trashed us 6 nill.

Great penalty. 2-0. Despite the score still not satisfied. The footie has been dire. No pattern. Nothing. Do I want to watch this every week. NO. Do I want Warne? NO. Nothing points towards us improving or playing any decent football. Warne OUT. Was the wrong appointment, still is the wrong one. This isn’t football. This isn’t entertaining. 

Clinging on from 25 minutes against one of the weakest teams in the division. It’s honestly been utter dross and I’m jealous of anyone who hasn’t wasted their Saturday afternoon watching it. Horse s***. 

For some balance.. ..
Derby winning 1-0 away from home.  30mins and no real chances for Carlisle.
Derby broken 4 or 5 times with bags of space and Waghorn, NML and Collins all been incredibly sloppy.
 

Against a team that wasn't utter garbage we might be.
Carlisle are not very good, yet we are conceding the initiative and ball to them.

It's just a matter of time before they score. Our clown of a manager is a tactical genius.

Good grief. Collins with the easiest pass into the box gives it to the defender. its embarrassing. I am considering moving house so I don’t have to admit being from Derby.

I've had enough character built in the last 35 odd years watching Derby. I don't need any more.

What does our manager say to the players, or do with them during the week. This is horrific football. 

I can’t take much more of this crap. We may be winning, but jeez, once again it’s bad. I had hoped after Tuesday that something would change. Please Clowes pull the trigger. Us fans deserve a modicum of decent entertainment. That is not going to happen under Warne.

I do get the feeling Eric isn't a big fan of Warne. Never heard him so critical about the Rams. And I agree with the majority of his opinions.

I agree with Nyambe. Was really happy with the signing, I rate him. But I already knew what we were getting having seen him play a few times for blackburn. Solid physical right back. Not blessed technically, but a physical monster, not much will get past him. Reminds me a bit of wisdom under Mac1, rock solid defensively, but slightly lacking going forwards. Very surprised a Championship side didn’t snap him up.

Have to say I think Nelson is looking a better signing as the weeks go on. Really impressed that he just quietly goes about his job effectively.
