  1. I think the difference is Arsenal know it’s pointless whipping the ball into the box where their forwards are unlikely to win headers. Collins is better off making room for the ball to his feet.
  2. Not a driver I’m afraid Dave. Hence the reliance upon trains.
  3. Haha, I’d have to start today but yes B4 would see me as a lightweight 😊
  4. £150 million for Timmy Mallett v Christopher Biggins apparently. Two true comedy heavyweights. Would be no less embarrassing than heavyweight boxing ATM.
  5. Hope there’s joy, or at least peace, for all of you. Take care of yourself and those you love.
  6. Travel on New Year’s Day is a bit of a lottery. I think that will keep some people (myself included) away. Gutted really because it’s the kind of fixture I bought my season ticket for.
  7. Can’t see us winning with three players because we’d need to sell the rest of the squad to pay for them 😊 I’d be happy with any one of those plus a strong midfielder and, if Cashin goes, a LCB.
  8. Interested to see what you think as it develops.
  9. Anyone else finished both series of Kin? Great stuff if you like the threat of violence delivered by a talented cast.
  10. In the summer I wasn’t too bothered whether he left, thinking we could spend the money wisely. However, much of our success has been due to his partnership with Nelson. I fear Cashin’s departure might cause upheaval. We can’t pair Nelson with Bradley. They take up the same areas and are both slow over short distances whereas Cashin is great at blocking shots.
  11. We can only do that if players make themselves available for the ball. Too many times the player in possession has a line of backs to aim at where the players aren’t even looking for it.
  12. NINE POINTS!!!! Have we forgotten the spirit of B4 already? COYR
  13. Small thing but I’m quite liking the Mr Brightside/ Sandstorm combo immediately before kickoff. Even us oldies are getting a groove on to those 😊🥳
  14. It’s heartening that we can win without really playing well. It’s a team that seems to find goals out of nowhere. I’m still not sure what our best starting eleven is, particularly in midfield, which seems to operate the wrong way round. Bird should be collecting from the back four and distributing the simple passes and Hourihane should be in advanced positions where he is a goal threat. Anyway, Wilson and NML bring much needed excitement to the game and should start. Merry Christmas everyone 😊

  16. I wouldn’t expect it for 90 minutes. Just want it from the start. We look like we want to stroll around and hope someone else does something great. Players stand next to defenders and don’t want the ball which makes the guy in possession try something very ambitious and we lose it. Let’s get everyone wanting the ball and we’ll fly this league!
  17. First half was awful, punctuated by Hourihane’s fine strike. Nobody was demanding the ball, particularly in the midfield, which meant we went sideways or long. No danger from them but Ward just isn’t a defender and his tackle was dumb. Second half started slow again but Wilson raised the tempo, as did Sibley, and gradually players started to wake up. Wish we could play with that intensity from the start. We have a reasonable squad now and can afford to give players a breather. Lovely to see Thompson back. Glad I travelled up from Bristol. Hotel bed beckons 😊
  18. I’d have given it to Kevin Sinfield - end of. His efforts transcend sport and epitomise camaraderie, endurance and the will to do good.
  19. Really enjoyed the Brassic Christmas special.
  20. If the first two words are Derby County I dread to think what the extra c stands for
  21. Get an offer in for Michael Mellon from Morecambe (on loan from Burnley) Right age, right attitude.
  22. If he’s fit then why not? Always works hard and takes up intelligent positions in the box. Has struggled a bit in the championship as one might expect but could do a job. Depends what other moves are planned. He might be a Waghorn/ Washington replacement rather than our main target.
