  1. I think the thing is with our midfield that a mobile, aggressive midfield will unsettle them. We don’t really have a true ratter, though in time I hope Fornah can be the man. We have two good passers in Bird and Hourihane and Thompson to come back as a bit of an all rounder. Smith for me is tidy but not a top six player at this level. We definitely need a new midfielder, especially if Bird goes.
  2. Can anyone explain to me why Tymal Mills is considered an international bowler? We must have younger players who are better?
  3. He’s in the Dog and Thrust, just outside the Rovers ground, eating faggots and peas and sipping his organic cider, wondering where it all went wrong.

At least he’s not still at Derby where he’d have been criticised for not passing it.

I think that’s a bit unfair. Rarely scared goalkeepers maybe but he could certainly take the ball past defenders. He was just a little naive but he will gain in experience and, I hope, become a fixture in Everton‘s side.
  6. All of his jokes come across as passive aggressive. He should cut that out and either praise or criticise, not tease his players. Other than that his interviews are all pretty honest.
  7. Trouble is, it has such a small capacity and they’ve spent so much on it, that the tickets are extortionate.
  8. Got tickets for Echo and the Bunnymen and Elvis Costello, both at the newly-renovated (and re-named) Bristol Beacon.
  9. That’s the kind of selflessness we’ve come to expect from you. Or am I thinking of the Dalai Lama?
  10. We have three brilliant suppliers from wide areas in Ward, Wilson and NML. I just hope we are brave enough to get players into the box to support Collins.
  11. We moan about our team but imagine having to watch Crystal Palace play each week. Fluff me they’re boring.
  12. Getting our tree this weekend. Best bit of Christmas is having that smell. Won’t be having anything as homoerotic as The Last Post though.
  13. He makes Joey Barton seem quite nice. What an absolute dunderhead.
  14. I’d agree if our senior players were infallible but sometimes their tired legs put us at risk where a fresh youngster can apply pressure or test the opposition.
  15. Great news. I’d love to see a few of these players integrated into the first team squad and given more than ten minutes to prove themselves. Premier League sides are blooding youngsters left, right and centre. It’s not true that they’re ‘too young’. They’re either good enough or they’re not. And if they’re not, let them learn and try again.
  16. I’ve had to have several staff members killed but we’ll manage.
  17. He’s just misunderstood. His time in Bristol has made him a committed cider man and he’s just imploring us to get the Mout 😊
  18. We must be very confident of victory if the only posts on the fixture are parking / geography puns 😊 It won’t be an easy game but I’m hoping we will show the confidence to play our attacking game from the start. Too often we make a steady start which allows the opposition to build their home advantage.
  19. I’ve bought some instant water but I don’t know what to add to it.
  20. Absolutely. Those who stay at home have no right, in my mind, to criticise the lack of atmosphere/ support. Also, criticism of the team, manager or individual players, should always be constructive. Surely we should all hope they do well, rather than being poised at the keyboard for every individual mistake? Collins isn’t Ian Rush, but he tries damned hard. Bradley has had a nightmare start but is starting to look better. Warne got too grumpy and defensive in the face of criticism and I think that’s affected the team in the past but players are back from injury and a team is emerging and PW deserves great credit for his perseverance. If we can’t enjoy the current run then what’s the point of being a ‘fan’?
