So are you saying David Clowes didn’t do due diligence on Paul Warne !
I think that’s unfair on David Clowes if true. .
Not having a go at you mate as you are pretty consistent with your views in this. .
I seem to remember I was on here saying I wanted Rosenior to stay and got hammered for it as the majority view on the forum was pro Warne appointment including his big detractors now.
I always try to get behind the manager and players at Derby County and I think our Chairman who saved DCFC and Paul  Warne and the players deserve some slack.
If we win the next load of games and shoot up the League and get promoted will the Paul Warne detractors change their views .
I also don’t get this vitriol against Paul Warnes style of management and against his interview techniques.

Agree with you BT , however there is a section of impatient keyboard warriors who can't seem to recall the recent travails our venerated club has endured recently and who's patience seems to have a very short fuse. Just wish they would give their heads a very big wobble.

At the moment the Warne detectors are basing that on what IS happening, rather than what might happen. We all want Derby to do well, and we'd all be happy if that happens under Warne.

It’s taken me a while to realise you are very insulting as you are also about Paul Warne and the Derby Team 

We need to have a long term vision for our recruitment strategy and then ensure managers/head coaches agree to that philosophy before joining us. 
 
The club doesn’t rely on one man to make any of it all work from players through to coaches through to recruitment staff because we set a blue print. 
 

The ideal for me: Derby county will get themselves to the championship by hook or by crook and then will build a competitive side of academy graduates, exciting young players and 2 or 3 experienced free transfers to help the squad develop. We might not get in the play offs but it’d be exciting to watch and eventually you’d hope we could hang on to enough of them to have a real push. 

The optimist in me thinks that the players of value will only stay if we’re in the championship so the club know there is no point negotiating yet. The rest of the players might not be good enough for the step up but they’ve done a job to get us off the bones of our backside. 
 
I look at that list and I certainly only want 6 resigning: Thompson, Waggy, Sibley, Cash, Bird and Fozzy. Perhaps Barkhuizen at a push. 
 
I hope TJJ signs permanently to replace Collins, Fornah replaces Smith, we need 1 or 2 options that can play wider up top to replace NML and TB (if he goes). 
 
I’d then hope that our recruitment side have identified a number of young, high potential, reasonable cost players to bring in and freshen up the oldest squad in this division. Use compo from Cash and Bird to get in 2 or 3 decent players coming into their prime and then do a Sunderland. Get young exciting players and hope we can sell them on in a couple of seasons reinvesting in more exciting young players. 
 
Assume a third of players will work out well, a third will be decent squad options and a third will not make the step up but build relationships with a league 2 club (Mansfield???) for loaning these players to to get them in the shop window/give them a chance.

Its taken me a while, but just realised you either on the wind up, or had a lobotomy.
 

For me, I don't see anything wrong with his ideas on how to play football.
The problem is, he hasn't been able to bring in the players to play how he wants.
I will let you lot argue back and forth over why that is, for me we're still a club under restrictions and it's not an easy job.
Should he have a plan B, another way to play? Yes he should, however many managers are just as stubborn and have the funds to overhaul squads overnight.
I do think several fans are being way too harsh on him although Warne is partly to blame for that with his words.
If the manager is talking about promotion is the goal, fans will use that as bar to judge him by.
Lets be honest, had results gone our way and we went into this international break in the top 2, we wouldn't be sat here discussing this.
Style of football only largely becomes an issue when it doesn't produce the results.
Does feel like we've entered that Rowett MKII era, in that the mood swing back and forth.
