  1. We’ve got to be ambitious

every Derby team that ever got promoted was in the past.
it’s a good place to be a positive mind set.

With an owner that is ambitious and wants success because he’s a fan, and because he’s intimated that there is a Championship investor lined up, I think we will surprise a few.

it all depends on the quality of the signings and how they integrate and settle-in to the squad/area/expectations

im betting on Derby strengthening with top end Championship additions.

I think we’ll do very well indeed, without knowing who these additions will be but since I’m expecting some high quality, I’m going for a top six finish. We’re on an upward curve, the crap is firmly pushed behind us. COYR 😃

Great season. Birmingham down, Wycombe still in league one, Leeds bottle it, Middlesbrough close but not good enough, Forest fighting relegation and buggered with FFP

    Ricky Gervais Lol GIF

    Thanks mate!

can’t wait to face Steve the dog tickler twice next term

    happy days! 🐏😁

Rotherham of course down, have been through 4 managers this season and that is somewhat related to us poaching Warne.

Rotherham we’re comfortably in 8th when he came to Rams 🐏 speaks volumes 📣

Plus I don't think the jump to the Championship is that big.  You look at the table now and with some astute signings I'd fancy our chances against anyone from Brizzle downwards, especially at home.

    Exactly this!

our defence and keepers can live with the step up as can half a dozen others in middle and wide areas.Plymouth were loanees and lost the manager, as did Sheff Wed weirdly! Ipswich prove it’s not a massive step up.

the quality of the new signings will give us indications.

I’m going for top ten but must finish above Bristol City! Sorry Birdie 😊

  5. I think every club gets the same it’s about £730 k each from EFL and a solidarity payment from Premier League

next season though cash goes up to over £5m per championship club so happy days

  6. David Clowes took Paul Warne and his coaching staff on to get us up. PW’s record of achieving promotion from L1 is unreal.

PW set the squad a target of 92 points to get us up this season.
we achieved exactly that and in the dying embers of the season held our (experienced) nerve and fought off the challengers who now have to go through play-off purgatory.

Paul Warne has got the job done.
he will get a long unfettered transfer window and a fair crack at Championship management. He deserves that.

I think Rotherham were in 7th or 8th position in Championship when DC came knocking.

I’m looking forward to seeing his Derby side and how they fair next term. I’m hoping for an Ipswich rather than a Plymouth season.

Massive respect to him his coaches, DC and all the players. Enjoyed that ta 🥈🐏👏

  7. That was a poor effort from Posh management at this time of the season with other clubs interested in their result.
I don’t think it changes Saturday though surely even Ferguson Jnr can’t field a second string against probable play off final opposition?
do what they did tonight and the clubs momentum will be shafted!
Id bet against them even getting past semis

  8. Shades of Roy Mac for both finishes

he was a monster at the back (and needed to be they put some good balls in)

he’s reacted well after needlessly getting hissen sent off at the end of a crap game at Northampton

he must have worked hard in training cos Warne wouldn’t have liked that

Others take note it’s not making a mistake or a miss, but how you react the week after that gets you picked. . . .
