  1. Especially when you consider that a Rams fan who had a ticket in the Cambridge home game who was going to take an 8 year old Cambridge supporting relative to their first game got ratted out and had both tickets cancelled by Cambridge without a refund.
  2. Some bloke posted on FB that he'd got 15 from Carlisle and was selling them at 30 quid a pop.
  3. First of all, here's hoping Dad gets a full and speedy recovery. Magic that the seat swap could be organised. That's Rams fans for you. Here's to the ending we all want for Satdeh.
  4. Who will excel in training this week and force their way either from the bench to the starting XI or from the sick bay to the bench or beyond? Love to see JJ make the bench. He's a real talent with a penchant for injury issues. I don't think Arsenal will offer him a new contract so we could get him on a free. Pay him a low basic wage. Increase it if he's fit. Increase again if he's on the bench, yet more if he gets subbed on. Even more if he starts plus the usual draw, win, assist and score bonuses. That makes signing him much less of a gamble. On the subject of bonuses, do you think having the assist bonus the same as the goal bonus would persuade players to pass when a teammate is in a better position? This Saturday I predict 3-0

  6. I always thought there was prize money from top to bottom on a sliding scale.
  7. I'm just glad we're, finally, having the shirts available in time for folk going off on their summer holidays.
  8. Out of contract players: Bird who's on his way to Bristol City Sibley who I'd keep Wildsmith who I'd keep and spend lots of time improving his distribution JJ who probably won't be getting an new contract offer at Arsenal. IF we offer him one it should be a low basic wage increasing if he's fit to play, increase again if on the bench, again if he comes on, again if he starts. He's a very good player in the making. His injuries are the problem so a "stepped" contract seems a reasonable thing to offer.... provided there is going to be an offer. Barks who I'd keep but as a squad player as opposed to a starting XI player Ebou who I hope we cam prise from Cardiff for obvious reasons and a reasonable price. Tommo who I'd keep Gayle I'd let go as he didn't do well for Stoke in the SBC and is 34 Hourihane is off to coach at Villa. Thanks and good luck in the future Smith I'd probably let go simply because of his age. Squad player? Possibly but I don't think PW will offer him a deal Collo I'd let go as I don't see him being as "prolific" in the SBC Fozzy IF he can prove his fitness possibly as cover, despite his age Waggy thanks for your service but it's now time to go Robinson I'd keep, he's one for the future Loach does some coaching and, if fit, is an adequate 3rd keeper. If fit worth another year OUT OF CONTRACT IN 2025 ARE Nyambe I'd offer an extension, possibly 2 years Nelson 1 year extension maybe 2 Fornah I'd cash in. Wouldn't be much but better than nothing. Bradley let his contract run down Washington was injured when he arrived, has been that way for much of the season, 19 appearances. Contract run down or let go Wilson give him an extension
  9. Indeed, a squad built up over 4 seasons in L1.
  10. Mel put the club in Admin, some jokers had a look, a few days from extinction, Dave showed he gives a foooook Dave Clowes, Dave Clowes..... wash, rinse, repeat. 😉
  11. @DarkFruitsRam7 As someone old enough to have witnessed 2 League Division 1 Championships, a victory over the 'ammers at Wembley, I can see you've managed the "tired and weary" bit. I've not always been enamoured by the style but we look like we've had sufficient good results, in a results based business, to have earned the step back up to the SBC. I've "accepted" the style as it's PWs tried and trusted method of escaping this League. It's a recipe that looks like it's going to work. Our 3rd ever stint at the 3rd level and looking like it'll be our 3rd 2nd season promotion. To all you young uns that haven't experienced the absolute brilliance of the sweet smell of success, I say, breathe it in, hold it in, commit every jump, every shout, every tingle of the spine, every hug from fans, most of whom you don't know to undeletable memory banks. I can still remember where I was when we won in '72. In the Swan Hotel, Burton listening to the L**ds commo on a transistor radio. There when we won it at '75 at Maine Road. Most other successes were enjoyed remotely as I moved abroad in '84. Whatever your age, savour each and every moment. Next Saturday promises to be one of the best days of your life. COME ON EWE RAMS!!
  12. Voted Ebou fully expecting the Collo volley to win it.
  13. As they'd have to go via her Mam's, which is 14Km from the airport and then to ours, a further 14Km, the fare would be €100. At least I get to see the game on me phone... East Stand block F for me against Carlisle.
  14. Be watching 1st half in the car on me phone. Er indoors lands back from 5 days in Barcelona with her Mam, 25 minutes before kick off. KO minus 5 I'll be in the Schiphol airport car park, €2.30 per 20 minutes or part thereof. Luggage hits the belt around 25 minutes into the game, I expect to see the two of them about 35 minutes into the game. Er indoors will then drive us back to her Mam's to drop her off and then us back home. Hopefully see the last 20 at home with a celebratory beer... Next week it's Block F, Row FF in the East Stand.
  15. As an expat, it looks like I'll still be paying my 20 quid a month for RamsTV and also still get back for around 8 games next season. I'd do more but finances dictate otherwise. I'd never dream of using a dodgy stick for a Rams game. Can't say I'm as honest when it comes to things I can't get over here, things I'm not even allowed to pay for like UK Sky or TNT or ITV, Channel 4 enz.
  16. It seems the unsold "away" seats don't get put on sale for Rams fans because they could have a row of stewards between the fans but there would be no segregation in the concourse...
  17. Quite feasibly but they play each other on the last day and 3rd place will probably be at stake. I don't see either side resting players for the playoffs if that's the case.
  18. If you look at Bolton's last 2 games, they have had the better of possession, shots and shots on target. V Pompey 58%, 19 shots v 5, 6 on target v 1. V Shrewsbury 70%, 25 shots v 8, 13 on target v 3. That's 3 goals from 44 shots of which 19 were on target. Great inefficiency on the vinegar stroke... Is that their great weakness?
  19. Lovely photo. Thanks Martin. All OK?
  20. Nice to see young Kaitlyn Roocroft get the International Supporter's award, one I was fortunate enough to get in the 15/16 season.
  21. He joined us on Jan 31st. His last game for them was Jan 1st. He hasn't been injured this season, his 2nd at Cardiff. That Jan 1st game was Cardiff's 29th of the season in all competitions. Ebou was in the matchday squad for their season's opener at L**ds. In those 29 games he had 5 starts, was subbed off on 3 of those occasions. He was subbed on 8 times. I disagree with @Srg. Ebou was fit enough from the start of the season. Why else would he have been in the squad? Season 1 at Cardiff ended in pre season when he suffered a clean tear of his pectoral muscle tendon, 10 minutes into his first pre season game for them. He was due for a return six months later but then picked up a knee injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season without making a senior first team appearance.
  22. Including me. Nowhere did I post that the two played the same role. Technically, he's not in Idi's League. Physically, the reverse is true. It's only occasionally you'll get a DM who is also technically gifted. GT was one.
  23. Adams, Gambian international. He's not an idiakez on the ball, far from it. However, he wins more ball back than Idi did. The lad's a ball winner and he then gives it to a ball player. On top of that, he's not exactly useless as his recent goal showed that he has good ball control.
  24. The Popside Fanatics group held a funding thing to raise money for flags. 50 of them (flags, not the Fanatics) were put on seats in the South Stand last weekend, 25 were "liberated" post match. The idea is for the flags to remain "on site" and not to be taken home. They were paid for by donations from ordinary fans like yours truly. Both the Fanatics and I would greatly appreciate any flags that were inadvertently taken home being returned for the Carlisle game and then left in the South Stand post match for reuse next season. They did post in all the Rams Facebook pages that the flags should not be taken home, it seems not everybody read that.
  25. They're blades Mucker. 'oars are dirty old women 😉
